Big media day in London next Wednesday so I'd expect to see some more comments on the game after that. We're hosting it here. http://www.3olafstreet.com/index.php
I've not been on here much lately as we're in crunch now so working all the hours available to us. At least we moved in to our...
I don't think there's anything over here. It's going to be at E3 behind closed doors, and at a couple of other shows.
It's bound to be at the Eurogamer show again, but that's probably post release anyway.
Videos and info will start to drop at the start of next month.
Just about to load...
Splits are in. AI times will be genuine.
I'll be able to say more around E3 time.
We've got a load of Codies forum members coming in on Monday for an early play over at the Marriot. I'm on the D-box with Anthony Davidson for the day. We're hoping to have a few special guests along for...
I've been replaced by one of the coders as the front jack man this year.
A lot of work has been done on people getting brake tested and penalised. The amazing brakes and lack of any sort of brake light makes it something very hard to avoid though.
I spent Saturday and Sunday at the Historic Festival at Donington Park.
The highlight for me were the Group C and 72-85 Touring cars.
The galleries from the two days are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rodstreet/collections/72157626619115816/
A few of my favourites...
The steering is very indirect and has a long delay before actually doing anything. It's not half has bad as Shift 1 was though, or Pro Street. It's fairly exciting and arcadey though, and it looks pretty.
With the steering you make a small input and nothing happens, so you make a big one...
Not yet, still way too busy. Waiting to see if my trips to Turkey and Valencia get signed off though. McLaren have offered to let me spend some time with them, as well as being fed and generally looked after.
It's all in the hands of the bean counters though. :(
News in a couple of weeks time once we've done our Community day with some media and guys off the forum who entered the competition to come and meet us.
My side of things is pretty f**king good so far this year. I wasn't happy last year, but then there's never enough time to get what you...
I'm enjoying it too. You just have to send your steering requests in advance.
I wouldn't have spent my money on it though, there's plenty of better games out at the moment.
Can't say anything yet. It's coming along nicely though. Especially the areas I'm working on, which I was far from happy with in 2010. We're doing focus testing in a couple of months and Ant is coming in early to see how the handling is progressing.
So I gave it another reasonable rinsing last night. I couldn't help but feel I was playing it for the sake of playing it, and that I'd rather have been shooting people in COD.
But as I said previously, I'm still really enjoying the driving. I decided to get a couple of cars last night...
I know, I'm just ranty today. :o
It's 3 in March Brian, which is offically the longest I've owned any car. I may hold out till it hits 4 though. Unless it does something really bad. The thought of not having a warranty on it does worry me a little.
I can understand that, but it collected on the Clio 2 also, and the rust on mine was much higher up than where it sits. To be honest, I don't expect any rust on a 2 year old car. None of my other Clios have ever had rust, but then none of them were thrown together by blind monkeys as my Cup...
Birmingham. If they did your work then it went to RS Motors. They did my bonnet, wing and now the boot. Plus I had two wheels done by them. I was going to get them done elsewhere, but they assured me the paint match would be perfect and the quality would be as new. What a load of b****cks...
I've just tried this with the TVR Tamora, which I love.
With the G25 you can always use the clutch, and always use the shifter should you chose to. If you use the shifter you can over ride it with the padels and vice versa. The clutch is a bit pointless though as you don't have to use it. In...
It's finally sorted. They repaired/replaced the boot. As usual no one at the dealership had a clue what the bodyshop did or were doing.
As usual it didn't go smoothly. The day I was due to collect the car I had a call to say it was going to be an extra couple of days due to them scratching...
Yup, I've used one in the office. It's pretty much the same as the one myself and Brown Bear have, only it's been updated with a few extra buttons for the PS3. The original one came out for the PS2. The pedals don't look great, but they work fine. The wheel itself is really nice, and the force...
In the license tests the one which took me the most attempts was the BMW 1 series on the Scumacher S at the Nurburgring. I was .005 off Gold for a good 10 attempts, so I stopped being smooth and threw it in hard. That worked perfectly.
I'm guessing it's easier on a wheel, especially the...
Best thing I've done in the game so far. You could really get the old Merc to flow nicely.
I've had no trouble getting gold on anything yet. The crappy campers took me 4 or 5 attempts once I'd realised how hard you could rub and where you could stray a little wide.
