They're starting to scare me now. There's no way they can continue to sustain themselves financially if they're working on updating GT5 and getting started on GT6. It almost feels like money is no object to them!
I've done all Gold in the first two lots of license tests, but the quickest levelling and cash earning I've done so far was by doing the special races.
By the way, quit the PS3 Vs. Xbox debate, this thread is about GT5. Leave the fanboi s**t for a seperate thread. Or stop being poor and...
It's why I've got mine. I've had it from day one ready! The only other games it's been used for have been Wipeout HD, GT Prologue and Uncharted 1 and 2. To be fair, I'd own one purely for Uncharted 1 and 2. Plus it's a fine Bluray player.
That's what I'm using at home on my Wheel Stand Pro (which I store under the stairs so I don't look like a 40 year old virgin), and a G27 on a race seat at work.
I think I prefer my old GT wheel.
Have you noticed how some cars seem to have a pendulum in them, which is constantly swinging...
For me, not really. It's way too similar to GT4. Bouncing off Walls, crap AI, boring license tests. Forza brought a lot of new stuff to this type of racing game where as GT 5 is 4 with slightly better graphics. And even they have issues with dodgy shadows and jaggies. But the right car on the...
Just done the Merc ring races. Really enjoyed it. Very rewarding when you get the old barge drifting between corners. The final lesson took me a few attempts, but the full lap I got gold on the first attempt.
So far all gold in B class and as everyone else I've got an ek which beats everything else easily. It's just GT4 in a slightly higher res! It's good but not 5 years good. 8/10.
I'm going through the license tests. Same old same old. It feels like I'm always waiting for it to load or fade in or out.
FD2 felt quite nice though. f**k all like a real one though unless it was on ice.
I may be being very dumb here but where the hell do I setup my pedals. You breath on the brake pedal and lock up. Also has anyone found a car which doesn't sound like a hairdryer yet?
A lot of people use the clutch as for the brake when playing F1. We have one of ours set-up like that as the part of the stand makes it hard to hit the middle pedal.
I'm still amazed they've not sorted that since Prologue. Supporting the two best wheels on the market should be a priority.
That's pathetic. Surely they've sorted out G25/27 support since they released Prolgue. If it's the "Real Driving Simulator" surely they expect people to use a decent wheel and pedal set-up. I tried Forza with the Fanatec Porsche wheel, with Clubsport pedals and a gated shifter and it all...
Review code went out at the weekend. Eurogamer reckon they'll have there review up Wednesday morning, when I expect a lot of people will already have the game tomorrow!
From what I've played so far DiRT3 is very special. I need to stop poking around though, or I'll spoil it for myself as I did with 2. lol
I was going to cancel my GT pre order last week, when I realised that I was getting all the things which previously made the series so special from every...
Cheers. I was shooting a high iso, usually around 2000 to compensate for the conditions, then around 250 f8. I agree about some tweaks to lift the colours. I just need to take the time to do it really.
Thanks again for the advise.
My first outing with the 7d, and a real baptism of fire. There's nothing like freezing your arse off trying to shoot fast moving rally cars in really bad light.
The camera is f*****g awesome, and allowed me to take pictures my old 350d wouldn't have stood a chance of getting.
I'd appreciate...
Well I've still not used it in anger, but seeing as the memory card turned up I thought I'd drop it in and charge it up for the first time. So far all I've done is drop the 24-105 on it and take some pictures of flowers and my parents budgie! I've been blown away. In poor light it excels, the...
My 350d is for sale on here. It's a total bargain too. For the money it's a great way to get used to a DSLR. It still takes pretty good pictures IMO. http://www.flickr.com/photos/rodstreet/ Those aren't with the kit lens.
I'd buy that, see if you like it and then start getting some decent...
