But I saw it in Wales? Would be an odd coincidence if it was the same one, especially as he followed me for a bit, blasted past, did a 180 at the next roundabout and went back the way he came, deeper into Wales :S
I thought that might be the case but then I thought that might be if you have no tax not no MOT then I just didn't know anymore

Should be ok as nothing was dangerous and didn't in anyway contribute to the crash.
Well that sucks..
Hope insurance is settled quickly at least.
When you get the next one maybe do some kind of cleansing ritual?
There are lots of useful guides on the internet on how to break a curse.
I think burning lavender is supposed to help vanquish evil magic but that might not be safe in...
I've been tempted to put a "powered by fairydust" on the back of my Cup once I get the nurburgring off :p
Other day I saw a Fiesta with the Fiesta badge replaced by "Finesse" a "princess" vinyl below that and stickers saying "the closer you get the slower I go" and "back off"
smh.
Welcome.
Lovely looking car. Is it a 172 or a 182? I don't know how to tell them apart from the front ._.
I can't remember if the 182 Cup came in MB?
Shouldn't it have front fog lights?
Well.. hi :)
You will have better luck figuring out if anyone knows it if you post the reg ;)
As per title, yesterday while driving over to (Welsh) New Quay I saw a silver 172 parked in a back street in Aberaeron.
Passed an MB Cup with a black bonnet somewhere in mid Wales, possibly New Town??
Also a de-badged silver 307 with a fair old pace to it, leap frogging through the queues there...
If you've tested every wire you know what's wrong with it right? :p
I think brake switches are quite common on these so maybe try changing that?
Or maybe the throttle potentiometer? It could be broken!
Have you cleared the codes to see if they come back?
15k? Ho-ree-sheet.
And the fact a woman thought to do it, by age not mileage even!
Beggars belief.
as in be suspicious ;)
£550 sounds about right though cos you should have the VVT pulley and tensioners done at the same time.
I know but I'm putting off spending the money on the club till I pay for the little fixes :p
(plus previous owner joined and threw in the membership pack and I don't want to end up with two chunky over sized keyring bottle openers, who uses those things anyway? I have a bottle opener on my...
ok but if you google cooksport it comes up with an address in Bristol is all.
Still Josh though, would be a bit of a funny coincidence.
I know it's unlikely but on the off chance he keeps perfect fastidious details of all the work done I'll drop him an email with the invoice number tomorrow :p...
Want us to check it's a cup for you? ;)
Obviously don't forget the cam belt, dephaser, aux belt and tensioners and before you buy one always test the hazard light button or better yet get the seller to test it.
This guy makes a lot of sense.
You need to be consider all the potential causes, coil pack could be fine but won't fire if it doesn't know where the engine is and for this it needs a trigger signal from the ECU which needs cam and crank sensor signals, or it might not be getting a power supply...
Well I figure with him being in Bristol he will have used one or the other cooksport at some point, assuming they're any good but now I see he only joined in March so maybe not :p
Bored are we?
Well as you're here, do you know anything about cooksport?
There appears to be one in Bristol and one in Bath and I'm not sure which is the Renault specialist. Or are they one and the same having moved premises?
I ask because I've got an invoice from cooksport for the timing and...
A lot of these guys probably know better than me but.. it does sound strange that the earth is on/off, how are you confirming it is "earth"?
Continuity check to the engine block?
I think bad earths really do happen on Clios so it's worth bearing in mind.
This. Unfortunately the autotrader "report this ad" button appears to be broken. I've also been unable to sort by dealer/private for a while (which I reported a while back)
Funny, that add also claims cambelt, dephaser and water pump cost £800. Price is a bit steep too.
yea well some cars have ABS and not ESP but I can't find an ESP button.
funny cos I swear I heard a beep followed by a bit of a twitch once.
probably just the CD player beeping, it seems to do that a lot.
Where would the ESP button normally be in a 172? Next to the light level.. uhm.. turny thing?
What? Are you sure? That sounds like the worst idea ever. You can't physically access the fuse box without taking the ECU out?
You sure there's not a fuse box in the cabin somewhere?
(still a minor job though surely?)
