Welcome to the club.
I really struggled to find one which had the belts done, dealers worse than private sellers for this it seems.
All cars need cam belts done at some point (except the rare few with chains but chains can go wrong too), some you can do more miles/years on and some less. Seems...
Could the idle valve be stuck closed, preventing any air getting into the engine?
Not sure what you mean by 4 connectors or all three having earth, depends what you mean by earth!
I suggest you get a multimeter rather than a 12v tester, I've never used a 12v tester but don't know how it would...
Apologies if this has been done to death, I have searched but didn't find answers.
My Clio 172 head unit is fussy about ejecting discs, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
When it doesn't the first time I press the button it goes to radio as if it's ejected and I can't switch to CD unless...
Right, I saw one in.. I don't know.. racing blue? That's what RB means right?
In Coventry. I think it was near Asda/McDonalds in Walsgrave.
Surely someone on here?
Nuts. I was trying to figure out if it was wider or not but couldn't get a non-motion-blurred pause, it is quite obvious now :p
I thought with GA being a vaguely "dance music" act they might have a bit of a deliberate nod to boy racer culture.
Would have been nice.

Can anyone tell if that's a Sport or not?
Zoom, enhance?
Welcome. I don't know what kind of student can afford to run around in something like that, I had no car while I was at Uni :(
At least you are studying best subject. Destined for the automotive industry?
I'm in Cov so you might see me about some time.
Cue rambling post:
Firstly is it absolutely zero throttle or is it just a bit messy? Is it an electronic throttle (I don't expect you to know this but someone will ;))
The "speed sensor"/"TDC sensor", I don't know how this is different to a regular crank sensor but it should be cheap and easy...
Probably just your exhaust cooling down mate, although I have a K-Tec stealth and haven't noticed it particularly, my old car was worse for it.
I don't know about the airbag wires but I found one of the connectors for my high level brake light was a bit wibbly, the female pins tend to get slack...
I drove down to Gaydon on er.. Wednesday evening I think it was.
Didn't know there were loads at JLR, seems a lot of automotive engineers drive RS Clios, what does that tell you?
I finally got my replacement high level light this afternoon so I wiggled the old one out the spoiler using my work security pass which is now a bit worn round the edges, unplugged it and plugged the new one in, it worked, fantastic.
Or so I thought.
Shoved it back into the spoiler and it no...
Busiest thread in a while, all because a girl said something.
You'd think on a forum dedicated to a girls car things would be a bit less dorky.
:slap:

Welcome.
Find radio reception is ok (not great) on mine, the auto tune stops on weak signals (wish I could adjust this?).
Could be worse, my CD player makes horrible noises and occasionally stops working.
Will check mine Re rear sticker later. I have a flipping nurburg ring on mine, will be...
Never mind that, get your cc fixed first :p
Be weary of induction kits, from what I hear they're mostly snake oil (somewhere there's a test showing various kits doing sfa at best) and I your best bet is a standard airbox with aftermarket filter or an Espace V6 airbox. I could be wrong though...
A week late but here's something you can try to help diagnose.
Firstly, with it stone cold, switch on ignition but don't start. Wait a few minutes with ignition on then try to start, what happens?
As some things happen between ignition being switched on engine starting, primarily glow plugs...
Off the top of my head, not knowing the engine at all, it sounds like an idle valve.
If it's a cable throttle, on the side of the throttle body there will be a small solenoid valve which controls air flow to the engine at idle.
I'm assuming revs only go up and down like that when you are off...
If it's for racing and has to be stock you're going to want a Cup which could be..
A 172 Cup, a 182 "full fat" with Cup packs or a 182 Cup (which like the 172 Cup has cheapo seats and no xenons, not sure if it has AC)
I wonder if anyone can tell us the various weights and what benefit, if any...
