Not to rub salt in the wound but you spend money making a car look nice rather than do the cambelt and it goes bang, no sympathy.
Then you buy another and bin it by driving beyond the conditions on a public road, again no sympathy, imagine if someone had been coming the other way?
My advice...
I guess if it was really week it might not be able to drive the injectors and coils. Don't over analyse it, it works now :D
Assume you fitted the same rating battery?
Spoke to my local dealer, gave them the VIN and they said it's never been done but if it needs doing it'll be free of charge. Should have got that in writing...
Got it booked in for two weeks from yesterday.
Seemed pretty straightforward.
Welcome.
Not sure about the stancing (do a silly thing get slapped with a silly label :p) but otherwise that looks rather good. Put some proper wheels on and the right size tyres and you're on to a winner.
I'm not sensing any love for the Yoko AD08s? For 4 x195/45 R16 black circles wants £350 fitted.
Currently considering AD08s or T1-Rs at the advice of a friend who knows these things.
I've had T1-Rs on other cars and currently have some almost on the limit ones on the back of my Clio. I know I...
Yes thanks, that helps. I thought it might be down to that plate as it looks a tad gungey on mine. I failed a bit at figuring out how the plate moved but I've just realised I could always pull the cable and see what happens :D
Will try to have a look at it later then and maybe give a dealer a call.
How can you be insured on a Cooper S and not a 1*2??
Well.. nevermind. Welcome and uh, I've never driven a Cooper S but I reckon the Clio is probably a more direct feel, close on straight line performance and lighter.
Probably because they all have good anti-knock strategies which r****d spark angle and increase fueling to prevent detonation damage and have the side effect of reducing torque output. I'm not sure I can make this any simpler or more obvious :rasp:
My pleasure :)
I expect the Scoob is just a...
this is y I love CS so much usefull nolidge can ne1 help me wiv a ishoe its really importint!!!!11111
how do i make my clio make that woosh sound like a impreza does when u change geer
cheers Jim.
Blue one. Mondial or Monaco or something. Not the bright racing one, the metallic shimmery one. Posh plate ;)
I'm in North East Cov though so mostly only use the upper bit of the A46. Sometimes go out down Brinklow road past Coombe park then down the Fosse. Will have to give the 4115 a try some...
Hi Nicky, would you please mind explaining pretty please, (a) how to check if it's been done and (b) why it fails?
Mine has a sticker on the bonnet (inside :)) that says "renault inspection" or something but there's a space for a date to be filled in and it's not filled in but I don't know if...
When a knock sensor picks up knock it will typically r****d the spark which will reduce torque (and by association power) and/or inject more fuel because a richer mixture will burn cooler which will likely also reduce torque output (and by association power) and of course reduce your EMPEEGEES...
This is not an N/A vs. F/I discussion and "lesser" fuel does not require more air to burn, stochi is stochi. If anything "lesser" fuels "require" less air.
:slap:
I think you need a coffee.
If "tasteful" means a matte black wrap or a car bra run a mile, if "tasteful" is a KTec stealth stainless catback (hidden exit like the standard exhaust) I'd go for it.
Protruding exhaust are a no-no on the 172 though ;)
Welcome Rob.
My main tip would be to keep it for yourself ;)
Also take your time, amazing how many dogs are out there, particularly at dealers it would seem.
Happy hunting.
CSs are set up for 98RON, on 95 you run the risk of increased knock or reduced power if the ecu retards timing to reduce knock. Of course if you drive like a pensioner you won't see a difference.
But is Nitro+ any better than previous VPower or for that matter Tesco 100? As far as I can tell...
Welcome to the forum.
No idea on the resistances mate.
"running rough" needs more explanation, is it only rough at idle?
Check for air leaks (along all the breathers), at that age the hoses are probably rock hard, they can get gunked up too (I guess your oil galleries and pump and filter could...
Welcome to the forum. You might see me on the A46 some time :)
I'm beginning to think Clios are just noisy. Today mine was making a nice loud buzz around 3k-rpm, sounded like exhaust rattle, but I think it's gone away now :)
Also makes belty noises (more whir than squeak though) when cold...
Really? All sounds like normal wear and tear to me. The bits before the crash that is. This "Wilcooper" chap should be ashamed though :rasp:
@Kangoo
I would expect that anyone doing that would be treated as though they were intending to drive indefinitely without an MOT as there's no way to...
Also at Telfords services I saw a Mk2 Ph2 non-sport with a car bra with (fake?) bonnet pins, a "stance works" sticker and white painted steel wheels with very big profile tyres and no camber. Very strange. Also had one of those silly hand stickers on the back.
