Im not entirely sure which model i have but im fairly sure its the SR-85
Cheers for the advice.
I spent ages searching but eventually found a website that has all the user manuals for the sparkrite alarms online, which outlines what colour wire does what etc. Theres clearly wires going to the indicators so i could cut them no problem, but the main module itself is...
Ive left the car well alone for a day or so, came back to it today and tried to unlock it - as soon as i press the renault key to unlock the doors the alarm goes off.
Does this mean the alarm is linked with the central locking?
I wouldnt mind the alarm going off if i could stop it but pressing...
barring the clios, there was a really nice early model rx-7 that hadnt been messed with, an a r34 nismo s-tune skyline that was in standard form which looked really well. Ill see if my mate who went along has some pics - hes into jap stuff.
Some nice clios in attendance last night - mine not being one of them!
Did anyone see the mk1 there with some crazy turbo engine.
It was black and sat on its arse, dont think hes a CS member though
He had the bonnet open, and there was hardly anything in there - defo not a standard mk1 lump...
No thanks dude i appreciate its a specific problem and i dont want to come across as impatient or anything, its almost like having your engine go bang - the end result is the same you cant really drive the car when it looks like youve stole it!
All the wires are easy to identify and see, so if...
When i bought my car it came fitted with a Sparkrite alarm from the previous owner. It never workd however and i bought it in the knowledge it was just defunct. Having got my car back on the road after a few months and a trip to a local garage or two, the alarm has grown a mind of its own. It...
If only i could afford the vast quantity of brown bags to put over my head...

Well my cars been sat on my drive for almosy 2 months now. It failed its MOT just before went to uni and since ive been away ive not had chance to sort it. Came back home this weekend, got the front pads changed over and today and found that the battery was dead, whilst putting that on charge...

Sugestions for colours anyone???
Ive had a crack at some shades.
Petrol Blue anyone?
Almost liquid yellow.
Not a particular renault shade just looks good in red
Well regardless if its to everyones tastes or not ive got round to changing the colour from the standard silver in the pic.
I want some suggestions for colours, Ive had a crack at the liquid yellow already and it looks failry good, but what colour do people think would really suit it?

Thats should give you a good idea, its where my mate bought his from anyway. They bumped the price up just after it went out of stock which is a bit cheeky though, plus they add loads of charges on for credit cards...
Acer Aspire 3102Wlmi
There arent any in the country at the moment but there will be in a week or so. My best friend bought one of the last ones.
Ive just bought a 5003Wlmi which is just as good but has no inbuilt webcam like the 3102 does.
Main differences are wheels, skirts, bigger front bumper, accentuated splitter, extended rear bumper, changed grille, air intake, plates.
Standard image as requested.
As part of a photoshop competition on an other forum i hang around, this is my progress so far. I'll probably end up doing a colour change and mabe some more extreme stuff but for now it looks like a nice example of what the 197 could have looked like if Renault had the balls.
Click for big.
I know optimax gives me better mpg theres no doubt about that, plus the car runs soother so i think its worth it.
I currently get fantastic fuel economy as my cars failed its MOT so isnt going anywhere. The fuel bills have been slashed!
I run mine on optimax and driving sensibly around town (no motorway miles) i get 260ish give or take 10 either way. Ive never seen more than 270 to a tank
And even though the handbook reckons the tanks are 40L its complete guff, from almost dry i can brim mine to the petrol cap and it will...
