Well my cars just had its mot today and failed spectacularly.
1 Offside headlamp not ina clean condition afecting light output.
2 Front drivers seat insecure
3 nearside fronnt cv joint gaiter insecurely mounted
4 offside front cv joint gaiter split
5 front brake pad less than 1.5mm thick...
Puting these up on behalf of my friend. They're brand new. Taking up space so need to go.

I need a new hub cos i put a new bearing in which has since gone in under 4 months so a new hub is the best bet.
I undid all the bolts that held the hub toother bits of the car - the suspension, the steering joint and the other one underneath, yet it didnt seem to pull out.
EDIT - ahhaaa...
My wheel bearing is knacked and im going for a new hub and bearing but ive got stuck trying to get the hub off. Ive taken the wheel off, the brake assembly, the disc and the hub nut, but now what?
do i just need to whack off the bit thats exposed or undo all those other bolts that connect with...
Well ive had a ring around today and it seems i can get a new hub for £30 and a new bearing for around £15. fitting the new bearing into the new hub requires a bearing press im told and that means a £30 garage job. Is it relatively easy to get the hub off the car?
My plan is to have the new...
My cars developed an unhealthy taste for wheel bearings, the one thing majorly wrong with my car when i bought it (other than the sunroof) was the passenger side front wheel bearing which was completely shot, it drowned out the exhaust and stereo. I had it replaced first thing in May, yet...
cracking video - i know that route well. Drove it only a couple of weeks ago in our XK8 but unfortuenately my dad was at the wheel :( Right in the middle of the moors on one of the dips someone had just put it in the ditch as we drove past - but your right, you have to get overtaking anything...
From the bedroom window as im slack and lazy.
Theres no pics of the valver interior yet as ive still not got the doorcards in yet - told you i was slack.
Spent a little bit of time cleaning my car up today - used a few products as well which isnt something i normally do.
Only a couple of hours work here - no where near the stanard of most people but she scrubs up alright for an old Frenchy, especially liking the shiiiiiny wheels!
Cr*p picture i...
Well ive just come back without having read your post berlin but yeh your spot on - if you get all the sliders and everything absolutely level it goes back on. Still wouldnt come out fully though - not budging on that one. strange.
Anyway cheers for your help.
Ive done the age old thing of breaking out the torx bits and dismateling something with no consideration of how it should go back togeather.
On my Mk1 Ph3 i thought id have a look at the dash speakers (the ones underneath the air vent on the drivers side) all it took was 3 torx screws and the...
Yeh i think your right - b****cks to recommendations its only £30 at the end of the day. Those JBL ones i was looking at did sound pretty good and they can be had for £40ish delivered online.
cheers anyway
I understand that componants and amps and all that jazz would make it sound wayy better, and that +-£30 isnt very much but theres no point in me funnelling £100 into the car for just a pair of speakers - thats an 1/8th of its value!
Id rather save the £80 i could spend on a new set of tyres for...
Like i said i dont want a major setup and i dont want to bother with components. I just want a decent set of coaxials for around £30. I dont have the skill or knowledge to wire up an amp and cant really justify the costs for a decent component set up.
Well being the birthday boy that i am today, ive just had a new head unit put in, and ive discovered that the speakers my brother gave me (which i thought were useless as they were only 10cm) have gone in the back nicely and are certainly an improvement over the standard rubbish.
Now im not...
Ok this is a majorly n00b post here. Ive never known anything about ICE, but its my 18th tommorrow and aside from a new head unit going in (fitment courtesy of Halfrauds) my brothers also given me a set of speakers he had lieing around as a sort of added bonus, they are Pioneer TS-G1046's and...
Ive started to notice the fronts on my car look pretty flat so i thought about setting off down to get them back up to pressure, but then ive realised ive no idea what pressures they should be at. The car had the non-stanard wheels on when i got it, and obviously the pressures in the handbook...
I use a fair few - whichevers best for the situation though really. the best tool to use in general when cutting out complex shapes - like the outline of a car or a wing mirror for example is the polygonal lasso. Obviously though, when cutting out a circle like a wheel use the circular tool -...
The trick to a good photoshop IMO is all in the selecting - the more time you spend selecting things or 'cutting them out' - whatever you want to call it, the better the end result will be.
To change the wheel colour select around the wheel taking time to rotate and shift the selection if...
Quite fantastically horrid.
You know its a poor show when they start listing the £5.99 chrome numberplate surrounds as key features of the car.
Ohh dear oh dear.
