just increase the length of the bit where the cable joins the pedal, simple, i bet you hit full throttle before the pedal even touches the floor anyway
yeah you're wasting your time, just knock the pins out and your done (just grind the paint off the new pads, especially the inners as they always bind)
its more likley to be a seized aux belt tensioner, we've done 4 of them in the past 2 weeks for some odd reason, same symptons, PAS pump sqeualing/stalling on lock
