was hoping the wheel would make the car feel better, the standard one just doesnt cut it. looks like i'll be wading into the unknown then. did you have any issues with the rest of it???
still bumping this thread until i know whats what
well i have the following....
172 cup (no abs tc esp etc)
sabelt renault sport steering wheel.
boss on order along with a ph1 indicator stalk with horn on the end
right now all i need is a clue......(having done a search that threw up loads i'm confused. need someone that has already done...
a filter is a filter for a reason matey. they are designed to trap dirt in a progressive way. ex. different weaves or gauzes trapping different sized particles . wouldnt leave that on there permanently as it will clog then the inlet will suck the dirt through into the engine.
i got a quote on a focus st170 that was more than the focus rs with the same company work that one out. then the cup was also cheaper than the st..................
i wouldnt bother yet at that price.im hacked off at paying 500 quid a year to insure it. love the car though. probs better off keeping the vtr for now or getting another and stripping it out. build up a no claims before considering it. that 2k will go along way in terms of fuel etc.....
has anyone got any diagrams or info on ALL the parts required for replacing the driveshafts on a clio 172 cup? looking into doing mine as i think they are worn
cheers john
woohoo someone used a picture of my car lol. still not convinced its a megane splitter on mine. defo came off a laguna as its almost like rubber. thought the meggy ones were more plasticky.
the one on the cup race car just looks like a normal clio (non sport one) tagged on the bottom to be honest.
recently had a strange click/chatter sound start from the passsenger footwell area of my 172 cup on 43k. only really happens just as i apply load to pull off or if i have it in second i can just ease on the accelerator to do it more frequently.
doesnt seem to have any play in the wheel itself...
they slow down when your car stops or come to a halt. then pick up when you move off. never really looked at it other than that. noticed it when in stop start traffic
fiesta st. the new chavs car, theres so many here.(live in chav capital of south west). not had one that can seriously bring it. (YET)
dont dispute they are a capable car though
