What will happen if i leave Ac on when switching off engine.

I have just had a scan of the following thread regarding smelly Ac http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=333866

In the 5th reply down it says.

"I bet you switch the engine off with the air con on. Change your pollen filter and when you stop switch off your air con first let the system settle down and this should help"

Why would you have to switch off your Ac to let the sytem settle down before tuning engine off and leaving car ?

When the smell is probably coming from a smelly Pollen Filter ? :S

Turn it off a few minutes before switching off the engine, to blast out any moisture lurking about.

Auto set to 21degrees in winter on a hot day i tend to drop it to around 19.

Perfection. The climate control seems to be one thing renault got right imo

will start to smell eventually as the moisture turns to mould. should switch off before turning car off to dry out the moisture.
