I have brought a few small things to tidy the car up a bit more, so here are some pictures.
I brought a number plate light unit and cover with the bulb included from eBay as the old one wasn't looking great...
Here's the old one...
And the new one... much smarter!
I put the LED bulb from...
That's some serious progress! Good call dude. I think next for me is to get the key mark / dent out of the rear passenger panel. That's going to cost £180. Then either get the alloys refurbished and resprayed or buy some anthracite turinis.
Ordered a Type R Aerial a few weeks back and it finally came through the post today. I have no idea why it looks like someone has thrown acid over my car roof, but here's a picture of it fitted...
The other night myself and rob_sri got together and sprayed our engines to get them looking decent. We worked during the early hours at a unit near us that a member of my family rents. Here are the pictures of mine. Rob decided to go for matt black and has updated his own progress thread with...
Car looks amazing mate! That engine bay looks really smart. I do like the chrome against the blue engine cover. Subscribing to this thread, will keep my eye on it :)
Dude, that looks very smart! The plate will look awesome on that!
Thanks to everyone else for the advice, I think I'm going to spend the money on the car itself getting the alloys refurbished / resprayed and a few other bits. :)
I re-wrapped a few of the dashboard strips and the steering wheel insert as I've got some slightly darker black carbon wrap. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I wanted them all to match. I've also added the air bag decal on to the left strip and the renault sport decal onto the steering wheel...
Video of the slight change in noise from my car after a de-cat. It's not the best video or sound as it was filmed on my iPhone 4S. I will be filming a better video with my proper camera at some point over the weekend. :)
Thanks for the advice guys, very helpful. I mainly wanted to see if people thought it looked like 'chappers' enough more yah anything. Probably should have made that clearer. Appreciate the advice though :)
Why would you put that in my head? Damn you! lol :banghead:
Thanks mate, it's growing on me.. or at least it was growing me until Colin said that lol
Nice dude! Yeah you have a point. I might give it until pay day at the end of February and get my alloys done first or eibach springs on it...
I just meant to other people they might think it's a 2003 car, that's all.
Yeah possibly, that's what I was thinking. However, £255 isn't to bad still and can be put on any future cars. I've looked pretty hard for a better plate, but for under £300 that seems like the best one.
RS05 CUP was...
Haha, I'm just awful at decisions mate. I feel like I have to do market research to the world over which sandwich I buy for lunch at Tescos. So for a registration plate I'm hopeless! lol
Thinking of getting this for my Clio 182. It's £255 from the DVLA Website, which isn't to bad. Only problem is my car is an 05 plate and this plate might make it look older than it is. I only really want it as it sort of spells 'Chappers' which is my nickname as you may have guessed from my...
Yeah you need to get some new bulbs mate. Depends on your budget, but might be worth buying some xenon headlights and fitting some HID's with LED side lights and LED fog lights.
Good call on the side lights. Yeah membership costs, but it's cheap and really beneficial. You also get a welcome pack with a Clio Sport sticker, keyring, tax disc holder and membership card.
