i had hardly any trouble with the filter at all, and ive got pretty big hands. As long as you get the right angle its dead easy. The hard part comes getting the filter out upright, i unscrewed it stuffed it with paper towel then tilted it the least amount needed to get it out. It took me 40 mins...
I need an adaptor for my flush fit valves ASAP, one of my tyres is getting a bit flat, anybody know where i can get one halfords/motorworld maybe? I know demon tweeks do em but they cost less than the postage will be.
has anybody tried the continent for a T3 turbo conversion? I went to the mele motorsport site, they did the 300bhp one, in Italian , great tried emailing them but no luck, non deliverable.
do you actually go through HGL to get em cleaned or can you use one of the places listed, theres one in liverpool so i thought i might just take em down, i hat my car being off the road
i think its just a case of removing the lock, getting a plate welded in and smoothing it over. To pop the boot use a remote lever (fiesta one is common i think) or a solenoid,
I think nick said he paid £15 somthing from a bosch service centre, and if im not mistaken Nick got 50% more flow once his were cleaned. As far as i know you remove the fuel rail, 4 bolts i think, unplug some electrics and away you go. Check haynes tho. I think Nick said it wasnt as easy as it...
Will it go straight in a 16v. Just wondering as it seems the easiest way of getting a turbo lump into a 16v. But if that is the case how come its not a popular conversion, is it a low boost turbo or something?
I had Z1 - magnex full system, because id heard nothing but praise about the fit and build quality. Once it was on it was knocking and never stopped till the day i sold it, after numerous attempts to refit it! Also even with a decat it was a bit too quiet (though it had its moments) as i was...
Lofty if you went for say a megane bottom end how soon would you be wanting to get it, its just im interested in exactly the same thing youve been asking about recently, and we might get a deal for 2 if we can get hold of em. I was thinking of buying any bits that i can, 32mm ports, willy...
Ah Nick just the man! As you have 18s can you get full lock, or do they catch? If not did you trim the lip on the inside of the wing right back or something? Do you think me switching to 195/45 will sort the problem, as it does seem to be the lip thats the cause.I havent tried cutting it back...
yeah they look great but they catch the arch a little on full lock, one arch is cracking (used to have a hole in but was repaired) so im ordering a new one and a new bonnet (few dents in the old one) Hopefully ill have em both on for the rolling road day, but possibly not the bonnet as im hoping...
before anyone says it, i know take the badge off, but how do you fill the recess? Should i just use a fibreglass filler to fill it to almost level and P38 to get it smooth?
I was just wondering this as the front tyres on the wheels i just bought need replacing 215/40/16s, but they currently catch on full lock, so i was thinking if i went for 195/45/16 they might not catch any more, and its the correct profile for the wheel anyway. Plus i will want to go 195/45 all...
