no, that sounds like the cam timing is a long way out, and the inlet valves are touching the pistons as the dephaser activates. Only time I've seen that before actually is on a dealership rebuilt engine where they'd fitted the pistons the wrong way round so the small valve cutouts were facing...
the bottom bit you can see sticking out in the last picture locates into a hole then you slide it down to engage. You then put a bolt in the top hole into the captive thread you can see in 2nd picture
changing accout password wont work as you wont have a data connection until you nlock the device. i expect you will need to do a factory reset. not sure how you get into recovery on a nexus, but its probably hold down -vol and power
