rear top mount problem help..

Right went to take the rear coilovers off yesterday tried undoing the 17mm (think) nut on the top mounts but its just spinning along with the top bit of the coilover? there ktec coilovers if that makes any difference

Should be something to hold with grips while you loosen the nut

I held mine with some grips. Using a spanner to undo the nut.

Was spinning whilst taking it off and putting it back on.

Theres like a rubber sleeve on the bit thats turning on the coilover ill try and push that up/down and get some grips on it cheers

A stupid question here will the springs just pop out? never removed any before on the rear

They won't just pop out, remove shocks or lower bolt get the car on axle stands (not on the rearbeam)take wheels off then lower the rear beam down on a jack until springs come out

On some springs you can just jack the car up and leave the shocks connected and lever the springs out.

You need to do the top nut before undoing any others to make it easier for yourself!
