Best of luck this weekend chaps, sad to say this'll be the first Anglesey I will miss.
Hope the weather is the same as the last visits!!
I expect nothing less that a continuation of your podium progress, one step left remember ;)
Have a look at the classifieds on VX220.org.uk Neil.
I bet you can pick up a NA one for a decent price, and as you like to get your hands dirty, supercharge it yourself.
That would be a neat little project IMO.
250 is pretty good. I think I did scrape 300 once, but I was driving like a granny for every mile.
I really like the fact that these sorts of cars can be so "cheap" to run, when you compare them with cars of similar performance like M3s etc. (and you'll even leave an M3 behind on a twisty road too!
Has the EML come on already? I think I'll be investing in one too, really useful bit of kit.
Yeh the burbles are awesome, even better with the roof off.
Is the weather back there even VX roof off weather?!
Just FYI too
That silver thing in the driver sill is a clock. (as there's no click in the car). Not sure if it still works.
The other silver thing with a wire is a sound controller for the sub in the back.
I don't think there's any other things lurking about, unless they're under the seat lol!
Glad you're likening it Sam. I did tell you they're a lot easier to drive than they look.
I should have warned you when you when you picked the car up, DON'T have anything loose in your pockets, like keys/coins. They will fall out and end up under the seat never to be seen again lol!
Glad...
Well I've said to everyone I know that I've always wanted an Exige, so this isn't a spur of the moment thing.
When my Clio broke, I would have loved to have bought an Exige, but even a NA one was too much back then.
I think I owe Like (Boosh) an answer as he asked me to do the photography, that was ages agao....and I've forgot.
If it's at the same place I might wander over as it's not too far.
I can only do 7k a year in this, so have to watch I don't drive it too much!!
lol I WILL do a proper shoot of this car.
The main regret I have of selling the VX is that I never did a proper shoot, but it may be moving to Cheltenham soon, so I'll have the chance at some point I guess.
I pick it up next Friday and have all the following week off work, so prime...
That's the sensible thing to do ;)
And just like the VX, this wont depreciate much, so I have a house deposit sitting in the garage any time I need it.
What's the story with SELOC? How come you have to be wary?
Well today I spent the whole day getting trains to/around/from London to view two Exiges.
Cut a long story short.....putting a deposit on an absolute stunner tomorrow.
I'll post up some details when its 100%
CANNOT WAIT!!!!!
Sold!
Hope Sam (Wick) has just as much fun in it as me.
Off to view some Exiges tomorrow. Not hanging about! (But then I am abroad next week, so trying to fit it in before they sell)
MPG is pretty good, as you'd expect from a car weighing as much as a crisp packet.
I bought the VXT in winter, so I'd like to have a bit of Summer (if it ever turns up!!) running in the Exige.
Thanks for the comments Gally (and everyone else too).
I do like white, but I'm not sure if it's a bit.....plain.
There's an epic yellow one for sale at the moment, but I doubt these stay for sale that long.
