Guys what do we think to this colour?
I'd have to see it in the flesh to make a proper decision, but I like the idea of a silly car like this having a (tasteful) silly colour too.
I will NOT have a black or silver one, as those colours are the dullest colours on the planet. (My VX is grey...
You have to use the solution too (if you want it to be effective).
You just put a couple of drops on it, then swipe the swab over the sensor. The solution is a solvent, so evaporates off. You're not using that much that it douses the sensor anyway. But you need that to wipe off all the dirt.
I...
Yes, as they are physically touching the sensor, so they wipe the crud off.
Blowers are useful for removing the larger stuff, but some of the crap sticks to the sensor, so it won't be removed.
I'd try those first, a much cheaper alternative to sending it away for sure!
Not fancy using sensor swabs? That's what I use.
They don't get 100% of the crap off, but for you I'm pretty sure one pass of those would significantly improve your sensor.
Nice shot Niall.
Couple of points
- CLEAN YOUR CAMERA! ;)
- I would try to warm up the top of the photo to remove the strong colour cast from your GND filter.
EDIT" oh....you changed the pic
For landscape shots, unless I'm trying to get the longest shutter speed possible, then I'll be anywhere between f8-f11. That's the general 'sweet spot' for most lenses.
You shouldn't really be using really large or small apertures for landscape shots.
I had a D70s for my first SLR. Great camera at the time, bit dated now though.
It will still be a great camera, but if you can stretch to a newer one then I would.
I'm sure they keep whacking retina on everything because they can. Retina seems a bit pointless on a MacBook. I can't say I've ever thought that from using mine. Same for the iPad to a certain extent too.
For some completely unknown reason, as I got my phone out as I was track side at Llandow today, the lock button gradually stopped working.
As I try it now, it has no 'click', and doesn't move at all (and obviously doesn't wake the phone up).
Quite a major problem if the phone dies, as I won't...
