Fumes are common with a decat, if its not decatted maybe its a leak. I used to get headaches from mine too.
Just fit some sound deadening at the rear for the noise issues.
Sell the seats and order something more comfortable with more head support. These look ok...
I use this, works well. I just fitted a thin strip of rubber around the roll bar where it mounts to reduce vibration further.

Just give your insurance a quick call and ask them if there will be a premium to fit non OE size tyres. If not, then yeah fit some 195 50 15's. Lots more choice and cheap as chips even for decent tyres.
Just pay a bit extra and get something half decent like Rainsport 5's. You never know when you'll need that extra bit of grip, especially as it rains 80% of the time in this country. The tyres you mentioned are called ditchfinders for a reason!

Seating height position...shite!
Steering wheel position....shite!
Also on track a ham fisted chimp would get to the limitations of the OE spec tyres and brake pads.
Apart from the above items, I agree they don't need much to be an entertaining track toy, as long as the alignment is good and...
Fuel starvation maybe? My MR2 does it with anything less than a quarter of a tank on high G corners.
I also used to have a similar issue with my 182, but instead of cutting it would accelerate on sharp right hand bends, that was defo something electrical. Never got to the bottom of it.
For the money you're getting for OE cats these days, blueprint items like this are worth the risk. That just needed filing or whizzing over with a dremmel before fitting.
Just ordered my mate a blueprint one for £200. EP3 OE cats are going for £900 this week, madness not swapping them...
Part 2. Knocked 3s off.
1:57 v 2:02
I lose 3s by the exit of Shell oil corner only 45s into the lap, by staying in 5th for Island bend and messing the entry into Shell dropping to 2nd.
Still plenty of time in it...

FOR SALE - 2002 Rogue 2ZZ Roadster
I purchased the car in May 2014 after months of looking for the right car. Bought from an owner in Lincoln I took the car back to Scotland and the project stated...
I've used them on the road in a 182 and Octavia VRS, when I couldn't be arsed changing them out after a track day. Zero issues whatsoever. However being enduro spec, they will wear much quicker when used on the road as they need real heat for optimum wear rates.
After a bit of online snooping at the 2018 MSVR Lotus Cup UK regs, I've found some of spec of this car:
Exige S2 Toyota 2zz N/A -
5.8.3.2 Toyota engined cars are permitted engine modifications including, but not limited to engine internal components, exhaust system, engine ECU, air filter, and...
They are a lot of fun, parts are cheap and they're easy to work on. There's nothing close for £5k (what I paid) that I'd swap it for.
Ohlins on this Exige. Its a Lotus Cup Uk championship spec car. 100kg lighter than the MR2, wider tyres, bigger brakes with lots of functional aero too.
Comparison of a Exige race car vs my MR2 track car. Both 2zz engined. Not sure if the Exige puts out more power, probably as they have aftermarket ECU's.
8 second difference, which doesn't sound like much over a 2m lap, but visually its an age. He also cocked up the last corner, so more like a...
Not used the 052's myself but they seem a great all-rounder. AR1's are fantastic in the dry, and even in damp conditions with no standing water to cool them. You’ll only be disappointed when its a cold, pissing down day as they are sketchy.
Bet the missus loves the house smelling like Kwikfit 😄
Tried to order the yokos as the exchange, but no stock. Defo gonna try them next time around. How come you use both tyres?
Sure they'll be great being all the same tyre and e-marked for road. I would have probably kept them if the same pattern and road legal. What DOT dated are yours?
Just don't get the branding.
MRF ZTTC -...
Proper let down. First set of new track tyres ever purchased too. Shame, as my MRF slicks are great. I bet these would be too in a medium, and the same tyre.
Well received the MRF ZTR's, and well, what a disappointment.
2 different tread patterns received, the 225's are DOT dated 4919, so 16 months old and are also non e-marked for road use.
Asked for medium compound, but received H1, the hardest.
Wasn't happy at all so requested a exchange for...
