I've spent £1200 so far, so if I can keep that...

Sigma 10-20 (£300)
Nikon 50mm 1.8 (£100)
Nikon 80-200 2.8 AF-S (£500)
and with my £800 left...

Nikon TC-20E II Converter (£280)
£120 worth of filters.
I wouldn't change my...
Not really a fan of the HDR but the photos and locations are awesome. That Milking Machines logo is captivating, it looks so new!
Would absolutely love to get into this.
As a few have mentioned, it's down to practice mainly, I think I got to 35 events or thereabouts last year, it doesn't have to be expensive either, the following are free at Castle Combe this year...
Saturday, March 08, 2008 - Porsche Club Day
Saturday, March 29, 2008 - Great Western Sprint...
Never mind, cheers for giving it a go.
To be fair they would have had to offer some hefty discounts to make some of the lens worthwhile for us, I shopped around on a few of the items on the list and found them at least 10-15% cheaper (not including the HK sites), and a lot of people wanted a...
Had a look into this and entry level Nikon stuff has all the info available, just checked my D50 (my second copy, first one broke) and it's on 25,830, that's in pretty much exactly 12 months. Seems accurate as I'm on IMG_5746, obviously it cycles round after 9999.
So if any Nikon users are...
iirc the Nikon software even allows you to set it up to take pics for you. Going to investigate a bit further as I would like to do a time lapse day of my garden in the Summer, I figure connecting it to a laptop with the software would be far easier than sitting there with a stop-watch all day!
Hmmm, struggling with this, whos idea was 'kitchen'?!
Need to think outside the box, I used the 50mm 1.8 depth of field getoutofjailfreecard for the above!
If it's like the D50, hold down the flash pop-up button and the +/- button, then rotate the wheel, it should show you what strength it's at on on the LCD.
Second one is my favourite, great reflections.
Can you turn down the flash on your camera? The only thing that I felt could be improved was the harsh difference between the stuff lit by flash and the natural background. Not sure how it would look with a lower flash setting, might be worth a...
Cheese grater shots are awesome! Love the third shot with the little blades, quite sinister.
I get a chance to have a go at this now, thank god for the weekend! Hitting a bit of a brick wall with ideas though.
Hehe, funny thread.
Locals will have surely seen enough new RS' on the roads here to know the truth anyway, I followed the V6 they had on the forecourt for 6 months early one Sunday morning, I wanted it badly until I saw it being 'driven' (in a 30 zone, as well!)
...and don't even get me...
Loving the light, really effective. Pic #1 is a winner for me, looks like a poster for a horror movie or something, really cool.
As mentioned above I think 3 pics per 'idea' would be a good limit, can always come back with some more if you try something completely different.
