Where's the go to place for 172/182 injectors these days?

I got mine for the 182 from my Renault dealer. They were on back order but arrived after 3 weeks. Only worked out £42 each for genuine parts (I get discount through work). If you’re not in a rush, drop me a DM with what you want and I’ll get a price and ETA for you. I’ve also had fakes off...

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

Put a shift in today getting everything back to factory on the RB. ASTs off, Recaros out, DS1.11s boxed up. And gave everything a proper check over, tidy up and a good coating of ACF50. And it’s staying that way. Took her for a spin and it’s so comfortable and compliant. I love it! When I...

Brake Cooling - How much difference?

There are some really smart brake duct solutions out there, especially for road going cars that do a few track days. I always fancied the K-Tec racing ducts so mocked some up on the track car. They’re definitely ugly but will do the job. The current theme of the car is Black with Yellow cage...

Do you think it would have helped? There are so many areas where water and crap can get in, I'm surprised they don't rot sooner.

Now I know what a "Clubsport' spec is, some of the best ones I've seen on here would be @Ash J s 182 Trophy - https://cliosport.net/threads/ash%E2%80%99s-clio-182-trophy.830295/page-5#post-11961053 or @frayz Flamer - https://cliosport.net/threads/frayzs-inferno-182-back-in-the-old-flame.570244/

    LSD options

If you're racing get a gripper - more a necessity if your competitor has one - but an LSD is more than good enough for general track days. I've only ever had a Quaife diff but I would definitely try a Blackline, should i need one, especially based on the positive feedback

Show me your ‘Clubsport’ spec 1*2’s

Sounds promising. There's definitely something about these little cars which is addictive. I'm putting my RB back to the factory spec - removing the Recaros and ASTs - now I've acquired the track car. I could certainly advise on not what to do, but part of the fun is getting stuck in...

    Toss new Clio ad

Electric cars will undergo a transformative evolution, much like petrol cars have. The IONIQ 5 N electric looks like a promising start. Mass adoption of EVs is still a distant prospect, so still plenty of time to enjoy traditional hatchbacks if that's your preference. Personally, I enjoy...

Yeah, they’re pretty bad now. I’ve been watching the Yorkshire Car Restoration projects on YouTube and we’ve seen nothing compared to what they restore. It‘s reassuring to know these lads aren’t that far away should my cars fall into the sea.

Front and rear subframes, more so the rear as the front is galvanised. It’s not structural though and many owners whip these off and have them powder coated.

If the Clio 182 maintains its factory components, it's remarkably quiet and somewhat mundane to drive. Achieving a near-original car is rare nowadays, and those that do often command a premium when for sale. Modifications drastically alter the driving experience, and rust is now a...

Clio 172 Front Brake Caliper - Parts #s?

No Brembo are just aftermarket. I can only speak for the UK market, but Lucas (British company) made the original calipers for Renault. TRW/Lucas etc are just part of German company ZF Friedrichshafen. I think they own lots of popular brands these days. Sorry for the history lesson 😂 But I...

Ah I’m not overly familiar with PH1s tbh. That model code is for a MK2 172. I’m sure somebody will pop by and help out.

Clio 172 Front Brake Caliper - Parts #s?

Well the first link looks to be correct as it references the correct part number which is 7701205832. It also says it’s compatible with the 172 (CB0M) which I assume is your model? See model codes for reference https://cliosport.net/threads/model-codes.467166/#post-6102026 I haven’t checked...

Took the old girl to Croft with me on Monday and did a few laps to test some new springs. I managed to avoid the curbs and preserve that genuine splitter. Taking them off this weekend and putting her back to factory. Too clean to be a track car.

    Inferno 182 Trackday toy

The LSD combined with that correction/bump steer kit will transform how the car drives. I can remember doing mine and going around Croft for the first time. Turn-in and exit speeds were transformational.
