Mitsubishi > Nissan > Mercedes > Renault parts are compatible on some models. Particularly MK1 & MK2 Clios, as you found out. My son worked at Nissan and said they still use Renault, Mitsubishi and Mercedes parts on modern cars.
I only did 3 sessions at Croft on my new ZTR - around 40 miles in total - and they're not even marked up. It took quite a lot of flinging them into the corners to get the rear temps to even budge. I got the medium compound. The outside temp was 20 degrees and dry.
The car wasn't really best...
It was always my go to tyre for Circuit Tony. I rated them over the A050s which used to be my 1st tyre choice before they became scarce.
I ran some MRF ZTR mediums today at Croft. They seem to be harder wearing and took quite a few more laps to get heat into them, especially the rears.
I...
Up early for Croft. Car loaded up with everything but the kitchen sink.
Met up with the lads from work.
Damp start but it soon dried up.
I can’t really say much more about the RB other than it handled like a boat. But that’s good because 1) I know why and 2) it’s all about the experience...
I haven’t had a good look through the receipts but from the advert it’s had an Engine Dynamics Level 2 rebuild which is pretty much:
Wossner Forged Pistons 12.8:1 (83mm)
Catcam Performance Camshafts 421s
Wossner one-piece Uprated Valve Springs
MLS Head Gasket / Seal set
Cylinder head Clean /...
So the current plan with this car will be as follows:
1. Whip the BC DS suspension off it and replace with my AST 5100s with improved spring rates of 80/80 nm (500/500 lbs). Maybe even make the rear slightly stiffer.
2. Run a bridge craft roll centre correct kit
3. Improve cooling as the...
Early start today collecting the new car, so I’ll be able to retire the RB from Trackday duties before it’s even started.
I’ve a fair bit to say about this purchase but I’ll keep my powder dry for later.
I’ve started a thread over at...
Well I did a thing today and got my next track car project.
Firstly a big thank you to @Tonyclio for delivering it to my lockup and for being the perfect gent. A credit to you sir for building an amazing car. I know you’re going to miss it, but it’s in the right hands. 😊
It’ll probably be a...
I bought Febi units for mine and they're spot on.
Part numbers for the OSR are - 7711135714 (exchange) or 7701204847 (non-exchange) but NLA unfortunately.
There are some Febi ones on Autodoc amongst other brands, but I can only speak for what I've used...
Aye NLA sadly.
There’s one here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354951330218?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ttf8mpmdtwu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Unwx-nP3Rjy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Part number is 6000073688 for reference.
This is the complete system under the bonnet.
Mine is leaking from the seal on top of the dryer and a little bit from the pressure sensor. Then running down the pipe and dripping from exactly the same place as yours.
It's going into a specialist in October.
