Haha, the marmite wheels :D I love them in gold which is why I got them, loads of people have silver, and black doesn't show the wheels as well. The gold stays... So far every-one who's seen them in the flesh has liked them. The splitters off an ibiza mate. Oh the old wheels were the same size...
thats a bargain, I asked about one of them brand new yesterday from halfords and they said £280!! I'm getting the same exhaust tip but from powerflow I think. It sounds awesome! It sounds a bit like my back box, but looks a bit better :D
Hello,
I've not received my coilovers yet but I thought I'd show off my gold wheels and tell you the plan. I'm gonna remove the ibiza splitter and put the standard front splitter back on. Its gonna go full 80mm drop (now at 60mm), all the plastic trim is getting colour coded inc bumper inserts...
Mine as it is:
To come, we have colour coding, dropping the full distance on my new coilovers and the standard front spoiler being colour coding and put back on...
more pics will come when the weather is nicer, as will a wash. my old wheels are waiting for a sunny day so i can refurb them, I was thinking of spraying them either matt black or gunmetal. cheers for the comments again
Try driving around in a vauxhall astra with a bilstein streetline kit, then lower your car 60mm on springs. soft and comfy in comparison to the astra :approve:
Hey guys, I was gonna wait until I get my coilies but I thought I'd preview my new wheels. The car is on a 60mm drop at the mo.
The question I ask you is when I get the coilovers should I slam it to the full drop or stick at around 60mm for practicality reasons?
Before:
After:
Not sure about the number plate, if your willing to get pulled over a bit I'd say get a smaller front plate at your own risk. I think the black for the fins on the back would cool, also clear headlights and a slightly bad boy'ed bonnet would finish the front off nicely I think...
I'm very looking forward to getting my coilies now :D I dont think I'll lower that much though, I have speed humps to climb over all over the place. That looks ace though
Re: how s**te are clio's!
heh, my car wouldn't start before. 1 new 20p spade clip for ther starter motor, a crimper and some eleccy tape and its fixed again. love french build quality :D
I disagree, I have A539s and they gripped surprisingly well, in the wet they are only slightly less than in the dry. I've never not felt confident with them on...
I dunno, 90k means the cambelt etc should have been changed, no reason why you cant get a higher mileage car if its been serviced on time etc. look at the Service history, then work out a lower price with the seller, be prepared to walk away though if he dont budge.
I've got standard rear lights if u want them, you'll have to use the wiring looms uv got in your car now though. PM me if you want them ;)
Nice and clean looking btw, liking it. lower it!
I've just ordered some new wheels from wheelbase, cant wait to go pick them up. Where abouts in Manchester are you? if you're near Bolton JEM is also pretty good.
