Hi folks, well... i've been registered on here a while and visited every so often as i have had 2 Clio's in the past.
Since selling them i've owned a Saxo VTR for the last 4 years but now feel it's time for a change and i'm after a 172. So i'm on here researching etc. Hopefully with time...
Hmm, well my Saxo is... very loud, plus the fact it's completely stripped. I would like it to be quieter than the Saxo, feel like i'm outgrowing it now... But i'd still like it to have a nice tone.
I'm looking into getting another Clio and i'm wanting a 172. Also this is the exhaust i'm thinking of having. Let me know how you get on with it pal, if you don't mind. How loud etc.
On the K-Tec site it looks to be exactly what i'm after! :)
It's so easy to lower mk2's. Back end is easy, one bolt swap springs and do bolt again! Lowered mine myself, 60mm. Suprised actually, everyone on here told me it would eat the standard shocks but it's been lowered 6 month and the shocks are in top condition!
Bloody hell. This post has crept up from past!
Anyway, it looks like this now...

It's dropped 60mm mate, and it's made a HUGE difference. CLean your glasses lol :rasp:
Oh, and iw as going to put ph2 lights on, but I decided i like the ph1's more!!
Hey Peeps!

Hey Peeps!
I've got a 1998 S Plate Mk2 Phase1 Clio. Been offered some 60mm lowering springs. I know I could do with struts for lowering this much, I will sort that out. But what is it like for rubbing when lowering the car this much on 17" alloys? And what if I have 2 people in the back? It's...
I like it dude. Personally i would never put a bodykit on my car because it's alot of hassle and so on. But I do like the look of them when done properly. And from what I can see, this has been done properly. I like the colour scheming too. Post some more pictures up matey, if you haven't been...
Very nice matey. And very clean. I spent afew hours washing and polishing my Clio today. Best cleaning it's had since I've had it.... and it's bloody dusty again :dapprove:
Re: My dirty b*tch....
Haha. Mine's about the same at the moment. Back end looks black (it's a blue car) lol. I was going to wash it in my lunch break today, but it's not stopped raining all day so thought 'why bother?' lol.
My Uncle's Suzuki K5's speedo stops at 186mph and he's had atleast 200mph out of it. It's unbelievebly fast :S And then during the winter he get's to ride round in his Alfa 147 GTA  I'm not jealous one bit :clown:
Go on then :rasp: lol. Yours is looking pretty good too now you've got the wheels :approve: I was going to order some 40mm Apex springs today but now I'm not sure. Found a set of PI's which have come highly recommended which do 40mm on the front and 35mm on the rear. Baring in mind I have people...
That looks quite smart for a body kitted car. Must say, I do see some that I really like, but would never do it to my own car. But yea, that's tasty :approve:
Well my dad's camera seems to not like the dark... and just took some now and they're still abit dark  Wish I could find my camera!
Anyway...
What do people suggest I do about lowering it then? I really want to get it sorted lol.
Weren't sure too many people on here would like it... but I'm well happy anyway :p Yea, it definetely needs lowering. I'm just not sure how much. I was going to go 55 or 60mm... but I'm not sure now, people keep saying lower it 35/40mm. But I haven't got huge amounts of money. What do people...
So i finally managed to get me some wheels :D Look very snazzy IMO. Sorry about the crap quality... going to get some good photo's on a drive out tonight.

Nice car matey. Quite like Astra's too, i did consider one. Stilo's though... A bloke I work with has an Arbarth in black and I just can't get myself to like it. My uncle had an Arbarth in that blue colour too. He got rid of it after about a week lol. He hated it... then bought a 147 GTA *jealous*
