New Wheels :D

How much did you pay for them? I nearly put these on to my 172 until I laid eyes on the Wolfrace Zens...

Nice choice mate!

Not a fan tbh, never am of big wheels though, especially not on ph1's.
looks like a 4x4 so defo needs lowering! apex kit maybe....

Cracking price... Try to avoid any bricks that may be in the road!! (You'll know what I'm talking about if you've read my post in the general section!!)

Weren't sure too many people on here would like it... but I'm well happy anyway :p Yea, it definetely needs lowering. I'm just not sure how much. I was going to go 55 or 60mm... but I'm not sure now, people keep saying lower it 35/40mm. But I haven't got huge amounts of money. What do people reckon to.. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=247 ?
I'm not too sure really. Opinions people? :S lol

the design on the wheels makes 'em look bigger than 17's.. I'd only go down 30mm/40mm & see if you can get along with the ride..
looks good.

not sure they suit the clio, but will look nicer when lowered. lower it 60mm no less 40mm is not enough!!

i disagree - think mine looks and drives fine

i second that 17s and 60mm drop on werid set up pi spings and koni dampers i no u peeps hate pi springs but i fink there pretty gd my car sticks to road like glue. ive had 16s on before dont think there much difference tbh except slight better accelration

also not a fan of wheels like that, prefer multi spoke ones, but if u like them then thats the main thing :) my bf lowered his car last week with springs, ive just posted some photos if u want to look..

Well my dad's camera seems to not like the dark... and just took some now and they're still abit dark  Wish I could find my camera!

Anyway...

What do people suggest I do about lowering it then? I really want to get it sorted lol.

17's look great, I miss mine...But 16's are more comfy! lol. Got i'm getting old. More track tyres available too.

Just put some 60mm springs on it for the time being. Then, when the shox fall to piece (and they will), get yourself some decent kit, like koni, or even coilovers.

Go on then :rasp: lol. Yours is looking pretty good too now you've got the wheels :approve: I was going to order some 40mm Apex springs today but now I'm not sure. Found a set of PI's which have come highly recommended which do 40mm on the front and 35mm on the rear. Baring in mind I have people sat in the back fairly often. I don't want too much rubbing... grr what to do!!

Never been a fan of the 5 spoke, just seem so common to me.

Also with alloys like that you need BIG brakes for them to even remotely work.

Rear disc conversion might help the rear.
