    What lense - D40?

The Sigma 50-150 is about the same price as the 18-200VR, but its a constant f2.8 throughout the zoom.

My Scooby - pre crash (2002)

I was in two minds when I crashed, slam on the brakes or try to power out of it. Can't really remember which one I chose at the time!!! 1 more when I was at a Chavtastic show + Blitz Exhaust was added:

It was a version 4, the version 5 then got a larger spoiler and slightly different front bumper.

    First tripod

Get a decent one, no point getting a cheap one for an SLR, whether its your first one or not. Get a decent tripod and it will be your first and last. A £30 is just not worth it IMO, they are not usually good weight carriers and not at all sturdy in windy woo conditions. Save up the pennies and...

    What lense - D40?

The D40 is good enough! But for the price of the F1.4 your better off getting the Sigma 30mm.

    Crumpler

I do like my crumpler, but I also have a lowepro TLZ mini for when I am going out with just the Sigma. Because I usually know what I am going to go shooting I very rarely take all my equipment out with me.

    Crumpler

I am the opposite to above! Also tried lots and found the crumpler the best fit and plenty of padding. Would have got it whether it was made by them or someone else!

Look what came in the post for me today!

I have seen that runmour ukaskew, been around for ages, but it finally seems it may well happen. Cost could be an issue though. It has to compete with the Sigma 30mm F1.4 and the new Sigma 50mm f1.4 which is meant to be super sharp. DP review have just reviewed the Sigma 50mm...

    First time flash photography

Well yes and no lol! Was focusing on her nose and left the camera in P mode so it chose a really shallow DOF. Should have been in A mode for that one, but was a spur of the moment shot!

    First time flash photography

    First time flash photography

Starting to experiment with the flash, my poor cat! lol! Equipment is D40, Sigma 30mm with SB-400 and Omni-bounce. I love using this lens, it produces some of my most clear and crisp shots to date. Once opened click to see even larger version (have been scaled 50% before uploading)

Look what came in the post for me today!

The D40 replacement cant AF either! But there are more and more AFS and HSM lenses coming out as they can AF quicker than in-camera can (so I have been informed anyway!!) Luckily for me my Nikon & Sigma Prime lens both AF on the D40! 18-200 is a cracking lens - enjoy mine very much!

    SE K850i - SOS.

The update service is probably detecting your on o2 and the latest firmware is probably not made availiable to o2 customers until they release it. If you use davinci you can upgrade the firmware and debrand it completely, then in future SEUS will detect your phone as a generic model (as long as...

    Crumpler

I have a Crumpler Nikon bag, quite hard to find these days though! Are you just looking for a bag for camera and kit lens or a bag you can use to hold more?? Mine fits my D40, 30mm, 18-200, flash and spare bits and bobs. Before the Nikon Crumpler I had a pretty boy XL. It held D40 + Lens +...
