Nice still pics, but as mentioned the moving pics are a little out of focus. Great attempts though, bloody tricky things to photograph so fair play to you.
As for the ISO, I use auto ISO too, mainly when I am in lower light conditions with varying cloud cover, but the D40 performs superb up to...
D80 is getting fairly cheap nowdays due to the D90 so that would be my recommendation if you want an AF body.
Luckily, my 18-200 and soon to be 50mm f1.4 are AF-S so I am happy with my D40!

External flash matey, one you can bounce off the walls/ceiling. Mine is only the bottom of the range Nikon.

You get a much more natural looking light, and on board flashes are usually pretty poor and the results...
The AF-S motor should makes this super quick at Focusing and if the quality is better than the current non AF-S version, this will be a superb lens. Its fairly light and small too.
Got the funds... just got to wait until December now! :(
I have had a changed of mind about my lenses and am waiting to get the 50mm AF-S now. I loved the Siggy 30mm but always enjoyed the reach of my old 50mm non AF-S. Its just a case of waiting now... hope it gets released on time!

Flash bounced off ceiling, was the best of a few I took! Takes a while to get these damn flash pics just as you want em!
Wait too see the quality of the Nikon 50mm AF-S. Its looking like it could be a super sharp bit of kit. The price may be fairly high when it first comes out though.
