Standard exhaust manis are ten a penny and perfectly capable should it need replacing.
If you did want an upgrade, change it to a 182 manifold. 4-2-1 rather than a 4-1. You'll need a link pipe to connect it to your 172 exhaust though.

TBH, i don't have love for the FRP really either. I can see it's a great example, but nothing with a blue oval on the front really tingles me. Saying that, i can still appreciate it's as good as one of them comes, and a lot of work goes into keeping one in that...
Spent a fair amount of time in a Mk5 R32, a 225TT and a Mk5 ED30.
Very capable cars and sounded great. f**king boring though.
Nothing VAG is anything near exciting in my eyes.
I'm not sure who makes OEM Renault dampers, but i'd certainly not call Monroe Mickey Mouse, lol. They put dampers on things far more tasty than a £2k Clio!
