Lol at the wire wool. TBH though, it will have done the job fine. It's only a breather. I've seen worse from cars more reputable specialists have worked with.
I <3 grinderz. SRSly, i'm surgical with them now.
PM Maynard on here.
He got me a Valeo one for £108 delivered, next day.
ECP 25% discount has finished by the look of the website. They've got 15% on, i think. Comes out at £110 so not far off.
The engine loom has three plugs, rather than just one. Came on the later 106 GTi's/VTS'.
Doesn't make a huge difference really if going for new ITB's/mods, but most of the second hand bits kicking about are based around a single plug ECU/Loom..
We'll be back to playing down the local park. (Ottershaw, just off Jct 11 of the M25)
We'll probably be moving it earlier i assume to avoid darkness, so will be about 6.30pm if possible? Depends when everyone can do!
Engines are readily available.
Price depends on mileage and condition.
I'd expect to pay:
£275 for a 130k lump.
£350 for a 100k lump.
£500 for a 60k lump.
What? Same as the Clio- you pull the N/S driveshaft out, you get wet.
Box oil is said to be good for 100k miles (which most manufacturers will state is 'the life of the vehicle'). Every 12k might be a bit excessive, though.
For the sake of £27, get it done. The boxes get given death...
Check GSF/ECP for Track Rod Ends. Get Lemforder ones and you'll be fine (they're OEM on Peugeot).
Lower arms and ball joints- Wests Renault.
ARB bushes- cnut of a job. Leave the old ones in and just make the suspension a click stiffer, lol.
