Get urself an 1.4RT for a few years, then when u got 3 NCD+ id look at getting something a bit more powerful. The RT is a nippy little motor and looks nice too. Insurance wise youll be looking at about £1k for third party - youll have to shop around though.
You can pick up a nice clio for...

its it just a bolt on, or is it one of the 57i kits?
Just wondering as it might be sucking in too much cold air when first starting to will be jerky as hell (i think) and then when its warm it will be sucking in lots of warm air causing the loss of power.
yeah same symptons here m8 i think. Although, i think the 1st gear problem might be a result of oil getting onto the clutch plates - yet to confirm.
How hard is the dogbone mount to change? and what sort of prices?
Thanks
Ben just one more question, if the prob is a small oil leak which it appears to be, will any additives have any effect, i know u can get stuff like radweld for radiator leaks, was wondering if any similar would work for the fuel system?
Prolly a crazy idea but worth asking :)
Thanks

ah well, guess il have to get saving :( there goes the new brakes!
So i guess im looking about £100 (two hours labour etc). So the best idea is take it down the garage and get a compression test done, then try to find out if it is the problem. What sort of results should i be looking for from the test?
I take it i just pop down the local garage for a compression test?

Thanks
