just bought one from my mate for £150, along with a full magnex and de-cat for £190, i take it is obviously a straight swap from his mk2 172 to my 172 cup? does anyone run this set up and can i expect a nice throaty roar? is it worth getting a dastek or similar now?!

my cup didnt have one but i got one..looks soo nicer when they are fitted specially colourcoded..and as for being too heavy...weighs a tonne i could hardly pick it up, had to get a mate to help me put it on ;)

yes i have to admit i loved that car, (and no im no bloody chav) owned it for 3 years and didnt really want to sell it, but i knew if i didnt sell it then it would keep getting worth less n less, plus i made the mistake of driving a cup :D and signed the line practically as soon as i drove one!

if i scraped it, i could keep the cup...(lets face it..it would be a huge step backwards to that again) but some other biatch is wrecking the car i spent £19000 (could have bought a vee) and got 2 mag features with :(

i went from a very heavily modified (double feature car) saxo VTR which just couldnt go fast due to clearance and 18s to a 172 cup, i was still 19 and when i test drove one didnt expect to think much of it..(it was a car id read about but never thought about owning)...but..wow..power power...

has that got a mk2 bumper up front? or has the middle line just been cut out?

just wondering weather to go for a used v6 255 next year or get one of the last 182s with full options, try and get recaros with the full matching interior and in liquid yellow... my head says the 182..new car, more chuckable...my heart says the vee
