just wondering what kind of value is on an immaculate std 172 cup, its a feb 2004 (53 reg) with 9700 miles, not a chip, scuff or scratch on it anywhere
soo need a vee :(
modifying is ok and well yes...but that car should be slammed on H&Rs, sensible wheels 16s...maybe 17s at a push if you want style too fit the k-tec splitter kit and then your talking!
i love my cup to bits bog std and hassle free!
although..a black V6..on 20" chrome vaults...mmmm, but...
i had 18s on my old saxo..which was an out and out show car with £19k in it (well that was a loss...oh well) but that was sh*t slow to start with..a cup is all about handling..so lets buy the lightweight one..and stick huuge rims on it, and make up the weight with stereo?!

am i missing the point here?!
errrmmm..i had this rattle on my cup...i looked under the car and shaked the exhaust while lying on the ground, saw it was hitting the heatshield at the middle and simply bent the heatshield a bit, good as new!
whats all the crack about new exhausts?!
arrghhh...love my cup to bits..but it just doesnt compare...i must rob a bank or something..a year is sooooo long to wait till i can afford to get one
does anyone else have this addiction to vees?
thanks guys...think youve convinced me..as for upgrading from mk1 to mk2..i probably wouldnt bother..for the little differences when i get bored of a mk1 id go for something entirely different,
cant justify changing atm..only had cup 2 months ;) i just made the mistake of driving a mk2 vee 3...
well if i go for a mk2 ill leave it alone..but for a mk1 id really like to fit the mk2 18" wheels and possibly a full colour change in something a bit different, pastel blue perhaps..
so just trying to work out whats going to be more cost effective, going to get bum raped for insurance as...
if i go for a mk1 i can afford to trade my cup in about 10 months time and get a lowish milage vee about 52 plate perhaps...but if i go for the mk2 (i do prefer the new front end and handling) ill have to wait 2 years or more due to still out of my price range.
mk1 owners or people who have...
lol..never had this on my 172 cup but got it often on my saxo, once in america...me and my girlfriend got a massive one between us from a portable internet machine in the hotel, u could here the crack and it bloody hurt, of course..sensing the awesome electricity in our veins..we hopped to the...
Age test?! lol..im just turned 20 but always always have read my dads magazines...anyone remeber "fast lane" magazine!
i think i remember john barker putting a brand new yellow 911 in a ditch..oops!
gotta love that colour..makes like look like a UFO or something!
the evo magazine long termer vee is an 04? reg in black with full beige leather...it looks amazing...but £4k! jeez?
any pics of lunar grey V6s the ones on renaultsport.co.uk are crap, its such a smart colour..plus where is the information on the V6 customisation program renault did? like full leather for £4000 etc?! is there a website?!
yeah i read it every month, as someone else said..sometimes you just look in awe at the quality of the pics they take,
the holden and porsche no limits this month were really compelling reading! They have a way of making you feel like your actually there with them in australia/germany..no...
im getting a vee mk2 when im 22, so 23 months time..ive worked out i can justify trading my cup in then and ive had rough estimates on insurance as accurate as it can be for nearly 2 years away
doh i was sure that was the more goldy yellow of the two..if thats acid in real life then its alot nicer than the other one, i always thought acid was green-ish
i thought it was a fair article too..it wasnt so much a head to head..more of discussing 4 different options you could get for £30k
cover article in todays autocar magazine..and the V6 is in liquid yellow too, 350Z won but they priased the V6 for being what it is, which was always going to happen! :)
i would so reverse into that on the 1st day!
random fact...people are most likely do damage their own cars within 50ft of their house/drive..its where they pay least attention
the 50.6 was achieved through normal very easy driving though not a long hill..i was chuffed!!, normally resides about 28/29ish though..had it down to 14.7 before...oops!
i absolutely thrapped the lights out my cup on a local b road (cum racetrack) and oh my god it just never loses the thrill factor, the road is about 20 miles in a circle and it was deserted..so so so much fun..reset my trip beforehand though..oh dear...14.7mpg...oops!
Im starting to think...
how does it handle on those sprrings then? i have a cup and dont really want to start toying cause im saving for a V6 but..that really has swayed me..lovely lovely looking motor..like someone else said..clear side repeaters and maybe a light smoke window tint and voila!!
so thats why it comes up streaky as hell and white marks when i put autoglym red on it then  would it not have made more sence to laquer the strips and give us manual windows..i dont mind winding windows down and it saves weight too!
