Ive never actually done a 1/4 mile time so you may have to tell me if Im talking out of my arse here, but I find the best pull off for me is to hold on the bite about 3000-3500rpm, let the clutch out a bit on GO! and as the car starts moving, press the throttle right down (getting the revs fairly high) as you slowly drop the clutch.
I also find that when youre changing into second around 6750rpm, just after youve depressed the clutch and shifted into second if you slam the throttle then dump the clutch you get a good acceleration surge. You may get wheelspin though doing this if you have power mods. Make sure you only do it in a straight line as well!
