New to the scene / 182

Try and do an evening session at a circuit close to home. Will be a good shakedown and you can plan your next steps ready for your first day in November.

    Help with seat removal please!

Jack the car up, 4 13mm nuts per seat (2 of them need deep sockets) and that’s all you need. old seats out. Hoover wires tucked away safely refit new seats take car to someone with CLiP and get the airbags coded out. wallop.

    Assorted O-Rings??

The mechanic is about 60, none of the young ones want to touch it presumably because they can’t plug it in. so he gives me post it notes of bits needed if it’s for my own cars. Stock cars just get euro car parts stuff, but I prefer to get my own bits for my cars. I lost the post it note...

    Assorted O-Rings??

Graham Goode is out of stock, and OEM only list the inlet not the return. (Pas) waterpump is available OE new so you think I should just crack on with that?

    Assorted O-Rings??

My Sierra is up at the garage and needs a host of o-rings. Most for the power steering but one for the water pump housing and and a couple for the water injection. in my infinite wisdom, I have lost the list of measurements that I was given by the mechanic and all of the old ones are scattered...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

£150 a month is cheap. Fully insured and sat on a charger. im paying that per vehicle to store three of mine and it’s a damp, unsecure with no electric and just a complete hole of a place.

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

Nothing yet because we haven’t got the keys. Slow ass solicitors…. 😂 but it will depend on a number of factors. If you are insuring it or want us to insure it, if you want it sat on a trickle charger, if you want it easily accessible or blocked in etc etc. but it will range from around...

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

The mad thing is, this Trophy has probably doubled in value since you got it. Despite all the misery it’s caused you, you will have a clean mint standard trophy and that will just go up and up and up value wise but at the same time will continue to make you smile every time you find a good bit...

    172 cup help

What if the car has been lowered? The measurements will differ. surely you’re better off measuring from the door mouldings up to the sticker??

    wind deflectors for my car

You have shown a photograph of your car that doesn’t show us how many doors it has. Then you have posted two links, one for a 3 door, one for a 5 door. I think I can see what went wrong here… post a side on pic of your car so we can see what you have and someone (maybe even me if you’re...

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but if you don’t know what you’re doing, leave it to the professionals. I’ve done 3 ceramic coatings in my time and being blunt, I wouldn’t do another one unless I was charging £1200 as a minimum. It’s a LOT of work. very briefly, and by no means a...

    Weird Understeer-esk feeling on track

Have you played around with the rear damper settings and tyre pressures? I had a friend with me on my last day and he was constantly messing with my pressures and the difference it made was amazing.

    Audi Ownership Y Oh Y

I hate Audi’s with a passion. I think they’re s**t. however, my wife had a very similar car to the one you’ve purchased and I have to say it was a brilliant thing. Big enough in the back for 3 kids seats, did 50+mpg all day every day, really comfy and £20 a year tax. Went ok too really for what...

    LY kangoo 172

I have the same issue with PS fluid in my van on track. so before the track day, I suck out some fluid and run it on minimum. This gives enough space for it to expand and not piss out everywhere.
