I'm not sure there's going to be any driving on the day, although the admin folks will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong.
Might be able to do some rig stuff, again, I'd have to have permission from admin folks and of course the museum I guess.
Well I'm trying to think of ways to make the photos of parked cars a bit more interesting lol!
If anyone has any ideas we can try, let me know.
Make sure they're all shiny and pretty :)
Howdy peeps,
Just a note to say, of course I'll try to photograph everyones car and take lovely photos ;), but feel free to come up and ask for specific shots, or just to make sure I haven't missed your car either!
As it's a long day, I was contemplating bringing the rig up, and just push...
Well there's few blokes who know more about that sort of thing, so it's in good hands.
I popped up there before the Bedford track day (which I was meant to be driving at!), he ran through some options I could go for with the bodies, I just kept saying yes lol! Oh well, if you're gonna do it...
No idea mate. It's not just in for ITBs. The immobiliser is fucked, so Matt has got to sort that before he does anymore work on it.
Yes he certainly does want to to spend money lol! I am dreading the bill tbh!
Can of worms opened.
That would prob give you 10bhp tops.
An exhaust and filter would do next to f**k all.
If you want 220bhp, re-mortgage your house and get a turbo or supercharger.
^ LOL. I can relate to that. All of our work machines are PC, even this s**tty laptop I'm typing on now.
I relish getting back home to using a nice fast computer!
EDIT: And I even ditch my company issued notebook (some cheap compaq thing) and got a MBP when I do my travelling, and to use...
My Bad! Didn't think this theme would be that hard. I agree with defining a minimalist shot is tricky, but it's more about being creative/imaginative with minimal content/subject in the frame.
There are a few in here that are blatantly NOT minimalist at all, but I agree it does come down to...
Forgot me and Dave had TWO unmarked police cars turn up when we were messing about in Gloucester one night. We had my rig on Dave's car, and pushing it about (as you do!)
Apparently, according to the police, a member of the public had dialed 999 as they thought we were about to do some stunts...
Don't take my word as gospel though. For me, my car weighs less than a tonne. So big 4pot brakes are a bit overkill for me. But that's why the HUUUUGE 197/200s have them, as they are big, fat and heavy ;)
I wasn't that impressed with the 4 pots, although it may have been the driver! ;)
I can get the ABS to kick in on my HC+PF97 combo, so I can't see why you'd need more stopping power than that. And it's a lot cheaper alternative to 4pots.
I don't use it EVERY day, but quite a lot. It's certainly not just for track days.
I've had no issues with them whatsoever. They work from cold, and rip your face off when up to temperature. Occasionally they squeal a little bit, and my alloys got a bit orange after I gave them a proper bedding...
Also, be careful of lens disruption. I have thin problem when photographing stuff at work, if it's a relatively wide angle lens you use, you'll get horrid distortion. That will make the cakes or whatever look weird. So it might be worth trying the different lenses as some are better than others.
I've been doing some product photography lately, but I'm lucky enough that I can use the studio at work.
Lighting is the key to making it look interesting. Also, are you having a plain white background, or something more interesting and natural? Either way, you're going to need some flash use...
