I upgraded the standard brakes, decent pads, decent fluid and braided lines all round.
Did a track day at Combe and didn't find them very confidence inspiring atall, that much so that I couldn't fully commit in several places and was braking earlier than I felt I needed to just for peace of mind.
So within days I fitted 4pots, again refreshed the fluid and decent pads again, then went to the ring the weekend after.
They were unbelievable, clocked up 17 hard abuse laps in one day and they never gave any indication of not being up to the job.
But I am heavily into my track days and I've always made my brakes as good as I possibly can.
The Clio brakes, even being 4 pots are still probably the smallest sized discs and calipers I've ever used as an upgrade, but do the job perfectly for my driving style with the weight of the car.
Cheers
