take them out and with the lead still attached ground them onto a clean bit of the body and get someone to crank tyhe car, if working correctly they should spark then.
£20 if they are using 1990s equipment, place down the road from me charges £40 for alignment on the Hunter laser machine.

Lol just read through that, My astra in terms of handling performance is no where as good as the 182 was. However the gearbox is lovely and power on tap is awesome. Not as much fun at the Clio though but still a decent car!
There was an interesting vid on utube actually off 5th gear which compared a boggo 1.4 clio a 2.0 "sporty" hatch and a turbod jap car
think the 1.4 gained nothing, the 2.0ltr gained 1 or 2 ponies and the jap car got a reasonable amount(10-20)
