HP is a derived figure from torque to get high horsepower you require an engine which makes high torque figures at high RPM.
I believe the equation is torque x RPM / 5252 = HP (been a while since i read up on all this though!)
I'm perfectly chilled lol I just didnt have a clue what you were on about!
Anyway! So why did it come up on yours and say not a fault, out of interest did you ever find out?
You ever cleaned the TB before, its easy and free, a good starting point!
scaffolding bar over the torque wrench will do it no probs, but im really suprised you cant just the torque wrench on and jump on it.
Not turning it the wrong way are you lol?
Jobs are cars are "fun" as you call it as long as everything goes as it should, for example a job can quickly go from good > bad > f**king nightmare when your installing your new coilovers and strut bolt snaps inside.... (not personal experience but you get my point)
I can think of many a jobs...
Lol what would renault say then
"I'm sorry sir we can't honour your warranty as the lack of service history meant the oil built up too much friction which caused the coilpacks to fail"
Do receipets work then I thought to maintain your warranty you had to get it serviced at a VAT registered...
yes and no really, they say your supposed to use OAT type personally dont think it makes a massive diff either but id use whats recommended its not much more expensive.
Nope just personal choice, Ben and the fella from APD seem very educated on this sort of thing. It may cost more but I think the price reflects the end product particularly when it comes down to something so intricate. All IMO of course :)
There is nothing wrong with a reconned engine mate at all. This is one of these occasions when you can thankyourself for taking it to Renault tbh, if youd taken it to a backstreet garage it would have been a lot more difficult to get them to do it under warranty!
