Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Mpg depends massively on what you're using it for, around town i get 240 or so miles until the light comes on (about 28mpg), but then this weekend i went to Cardiff and got a tank average of 34mpg (sat at 75-85 or so). I dont have a trip computer on mine, so thats...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Sl03joe's one is high spec facelift with diff, etc for less than £4.5k! They go for peanuts on the forums, so i wouldnt be wanting to spend too much on one really. As the R56's drop in price, the more expensive R53's can only go one way ...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Try these guys, they advertise on Minitorque: http://www.mad4mini.co.uk/
Should be less than £300 for healthcheck/pulley/belt/plugs really. Or Lohen are just north of Birmingham.
I paid £230 at Minicraft for pulley/belt and supplied the plugs myself (£8 off ebay) :)
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Massive difference! 35bhp according to my 'graph' lol - although that is a fairly standard increase for a 15% pulley change.
As i understand it, 17% gives you more torque low down, whereas the 15% makes it more progressive, more revs = more power etc. 15% gives about...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Can't do Llandow im afraid, although hand on heart, for the money it costs to get over there etc, id rather just do a 'proper' track, you can only go right so many times before getting a little bored ;). Thanks for the offer though, ill have to take you up on it so i...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Thanks for your kind comments :D Re: the 197, i really wasnt a fan tbh, hence it only lasted 3 weeks lol. Whilst it was good when you were 'on it', i found it a bit pants for day to day driving, steering was too light, mpg was rubbish and it needed 5k rpm on the rev...
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Yeah i did think that, but was unsure of having a 215 on the standard wheels? Ride seems ok and the moment though, & well wheelgap? Ive had 3 Trophy's lol ;)
So i collected the car from Minicraft last night and well what can i say? BIG difference lol. The extra...
A few years back, a chap called Matt Wills setup a 'company' on here called Stealthsport, it was laughable. We then created 'FailSport' as a p1ss take for our own driveway based vehicular faffing about - at the end of the day clioSPORT's do FAIL quite alot so it made sense (to us anyway lol)...
And whether Ford have any Fiesta ST's left lol. 3000 sold since the launch apparently.
By the time Renault actually start doing test drives/selling 200T's there will be no potential buyers left at this rate ;)
Looks incredible!!
Only thing im not so keen on is the lower bumper/skirt things, although they are not as obvious on a black car.
200 rear diffuser as well i assume?
Yup, this is the correct way to do things!! Normally most amusing when chasing down all the 'big power builds' at track days, with numpties behind the wheel that should have spent more on tuition, & less on boost ;)
