No, you're missing my point, everyone assumes the GP has terrible mpg (it doesnt btw, im getting 34), but it is considerably better than the 28-29 i got from the 197. It would also rip a 197 a new ar5ehole. The difference is, whilst the R32/M3 justified their sub 30 mpg by being quick (the M3...
They arent anywhere near as quick as an R32 lol. And i got the same mpg.
For reference, my GP, which has 'terrible mpg' is also doing far better than my 197 ever did ;)
"Hi, is that Chris Harris?"
"Its Renault here, we know you love FWD race cars, how would you like to drive the new Cup Racer?"
"Oh, yes please, that would be ace!!"
"Ok cool, you can have a play for a couple of hours at Stow"
2 months later, Chris arrives at Stow:
"Hi Chris, you can only drive...
Agree 100%. 4 minutes of drag race, then 1 minute of where i felt Chris wasn't really being particularly honest, a bit corporate if you will, the clio is lovely, nice & soft for the road, blah blah blah. Then 3 minutes of the Cup Racer, because he ran out of nice things to say about the 200. For...
Really?
Decent Trophy = £4k
Decent 182 = £2.5k
Cost of coilovers, Recaro's & Turinis for normal 182 = £1.5k
182, plus modifications = same price as just buying a Trophy in the 1st place.
Perhaps, although that one only had 160 odd bhp lol. I passed the Ph2 as well iirc, it was spinning off...
From memory, ive only been on track with you at Bedford, in the shed i bought off Greg lol.
Anyways, we digress. The Trophy is the best one out the box. Simples.
Need to get the GP on track with some clio's now ... ;)
You were in your TURBO'd PH1 clio when you went past me iirc, which isnt really surprising lol.
I wasnt really referring to that f*cked thing anyways, more the ShedTrophy.
Having been on track numerous times over the years in 99% standard Trophy's, i can safely say that cammed/ITB'd/stripped 1*2's didnt tend to trouble me.
Im sure Sam@BTM would say similar.
I might be able to help there ;)
Had a 182 with both cup packs back in 2005, then a 172 Cup in 2007, then 3 Trophy's from 2010 onwards ...
Also sold a 197 Cup with Recaros as it wasnt a patch on the Trophy.
Wouldnt be any point. The only person thats actually taken delivery of a 200T is Boosh's mum iirc.
Factories not tooled up to make any from my understanding, hence them trying not to sell them in the dealers.
lol. Hopefully not!! Only spent a couple hundred on it so far :rasp:
Really easy!! The lead i got from Newministuff (http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop.php?action=productshow&id=761) combines both Parrot wiring, SOT lead & MFSW interface into one loom, so makes for very easy fitment. Only...
I like the V12's personally, buy them for all my new cars.
Their cheapness allows me to replace all 4 at once as well - i hate having different tyres on each axle!
So the last week or so, has been spent tinkering :star:
1st up, old floor mats (& their holes) were upsetting my eyes:
BMminiparts had some of the genuine GP ones for just under £50 (how much? For 2 mats lol), but they have the red stitching, so i got them bought:
Much better!!
Then...

Leeroybrown owned it on here, Steve at R. Sport Cars sold it to him iirc.
