Bloody hell. I was thinking about this sort of crash at Castle Combe today when I noticed I was no more than 20ft from the actual circuit and the insane Castle Combe Saloons were passing at up to 150mph. It would only take one car to get lifted up by another and you wouldn't stand a chance.

Yep I will be there, 100th round of the Saloons tomorrow and the opportunity for a track walk at lunchtime looking at the cars, should be great.

Heard one at Castle Combe last year, most amazing sounding thing ever.

£28,000 a car, additional £12,000 for a passenger...and this is a cheap year as it's a relatively simple European route. Not all the cars are exotic, you always get a few quirky things. I think you just apply and hope for the best if you happen to have enough cash.

I have a lot of respect for the guys that still run Novas. A few that turn up at various events at Castle Combe during the year build them in their garage for next to nothing over winter, and then they go and pass 75% of the cars out on circuit with no trouble. Most are really tidy jobs, sure...

Out playing at Castle Combe today, god I love these cars, the driver of the Orange one was seriously shifting... For those that know Combe, the first few with the splitters up high are them cresting Avon Rise, leading down to the ones at the bottom where they are almost scraping the tarmac...

Around Quarry no less. I've seen races where some of the drivers won't go into Quarry that commited, usually after they've seen two or three already go off there in one race mind you.
