Non legit?! It costs about a fiver brand new!
Are people using wheels or pads? Wheel gives an automatic 3 or 4 second advantage in most cars due to the handling setup. I've used a pad against people using wheels and it is literaaly impossible to follow their line.
Of course if you want the extras found in an SLR, but something near the size of a compact, you could always get a Olympus E-400 ;)
I just happen to have a new one for sale for £300 delivered in the Other For Sale section.
My 172 Cup was on about 15k when the steering wheel started to bubble and shine, and the seats started to wear quite a bit as well but I got those sorted before I sold it. Mine was looked after immensely well and those things still happened. Somethign as simple as leaving it in the sun during...
pmsl, slightly unrelated but as this thread seems to be going nowhere fast at the minute ;)...I've seen the following on Vee's...
V6 YEP (Acid Ph2)
V6 0 WOW (Blue Ph2)
V666 RSS (Silver Ph1)
Yep ISO100 is what you will need, essential for long exposures to reduce noise. I rarely play with it either, but it's always worth checking it's still on the lowest setting!
The 350D will screw straight onto the GP no problem, it does also accept normal tripod heads which is why that...
Some pics, really shows how high the car got...

Just measured and it's approx 9" by 2", pretty small really.
I hope you like it, it's the sort of thing you either "get" and really love, or just simply hate. I've met a few haters and I always suggest just embracing it, if you can see a shot then there will always be a spot where the...
The Olympus E-400 I won last month, 15 second exposure on the Gorillapod with just the standard 14-42mm kit lens that came with the camera. Takes a nice picture though, I quite like this one as well. Selling the camera now, not much use to me as I have all Nikon kit.
Gorillapod certainly...
Someone was in the right place at all the right times on Monday, bring on the carnage...

I did New York 100% handheld, carrying a tripod around anywhere would be my worst nightmare. Having said that I did take a Gorillapod SLR to Venice with me last month and it was superb (and essential), worked a treat and got me shooting in places I could never have used a tripod easily. Fit in...
Excellent shots, just from normal spectator points? Never been to Thruxton before (always too many horror stories of it being insanely busy for BTCC and loads of traffic problems etc) but it's only 45 minutes down the road from me, should make the effort really.
4 Black and 2 Red 197s spotted today near Melksham. All on 07 plates, I assume a delivery for Platinum in Trowbridge or something?
I would have a Red one in a second if I had the money, stunning.
Yep he does, Platinum sponsor Castle Combe.
The guy with the lowered Black 197 ('CMO' in the plate or something) needs to get out on circuit, would look awesome!
As I said...
"Had to get even further away from Quarry, really got to me in the rain, was actually painful! Shame as there was a Renaultsport Megane 230 F1 in Red with dark wheels (gorgeous) and Blue 197 with white wheels on display, but I couldn't get near them!"
Seen them, loved them...
Didn't notice the disc until now, awesome. Had to get even further away from Quarry, really got to me in the rain, was actually painful! Shame as there was a Renaultsport Megane 230 F1 in Red with dark wheels (gorgeous) and Blue 197 with white wheels on display, but I couldn't get near them...
I've basically got what you've got (kit lens, 70-200 2.8 and a 70-300) but two others as well, and both are excellent. One is the 50mm f1.8, cheap as you like (£80 or so) but amazingly sharp, I use it more than any other lens.
The other one is my Sigma 10-20, it's incredible, about £300...
Ok I get the idea ;) I bet if you looked at sales figures though the white would be the lowest seller by a mile, and that's for a brand which traditionally has quite a bit of history/heritage with white cars.
Everyone asks for white as an option but they never sell. Renault probably know this and that's why they never bother.
Ever seen a Focus ST in white?! I haven't yet, seen about 30 in Orange and 20 in both Black and Blue though.
I assume those doors come with a substantial weight penalty and the instant undoing of all the weight distribution that went into the original car? I'm surprised they offer the mod themselves.
As above, if I really wanted to make my car standout I would go for a different colour with...
Took pics for an hour today, spent the rest of the time getting soaked or blown about, great fun though and good crowds as usual despite the horrific weather.
Back to Avon Rise again, I can't get enough of the feeling of speed and how close you can get at that point. Very exposed to the...
Unbelievable day, rain is not a problem but the wind was mad. Some of the biggest crashes I can remember, Keith Murray's 140mph+ crash at Avon Rise/Quarry in his A4 was immense, came clean off the ground, smacked the tyre wall and he and his car somehow got back onto the circuit within seconds...
Got my weekend ticket through the door last week, says I'm in Paddock 28 or something but I'm just going as a spectator. Looking forward to it, bit of a drive but worthwhile for a Veyron!
