Nutters. I forgot that place getsa little bit dusty on a hot day! Drag racing seems to inflict the most damage, rarely see stonechips etc from the actual timed circuit runs.

He's a regular at Combe, top guy. Just does it for fun but his equipment his pro-level, very expensive stuff. Always happy to help with camera stuff, just give me a shout.

Best camera would be the one with the best handling for you. When I was looking to buy it was 350D vs. D50. After hours of reading up I finally held a 350D and hated it, just couldn't get it comfortable in my hands at all. Obviously it may well be the other way round for you. Canon glass...

Some nice improvements over the beta, fonts are waaaay better at all zoom levels, it's now borderless, scrolling and zooming is massively improved and it starts up much quicker. Just make sure you update by June, the full version is free until then.

Yes, excellent in low light. My D50 happily operates at ISO800 with minimal noise, that combined with my 50mm 1.8 has never let me down even in some extremely dark buildings. Worth having a look here for thousands of samples... http://www.flickr.com/groups/canonef50mm/

That's the one. You can probably save yourself at least £20-30 on that price though if you have a good look around. It's £69 at Bristol Cameras for example. BluePete made me buy mine (Nikon, but virtually identical apparently), very pleased I did. Here is a sample from my 6MP camera handheld...
