I can vouch that you can easily lose control at that speed, done the same on a muddy patch on a corner myself but luckily for me the mud i span in too was a pure bog so my car just got stuck, it would have had the same rolling effect had it not been so deep.

Problem solved! Was my first go at doing artwork in indesign (using self learning!) so i was getting it checked by someone who knows there stuff before i created PDF's.
My misses has my Ixus 70 now.... fits in her bag... her other bag... her smaller bag and the bag smaller than that!

Its not about the iso entirely. The size of the sensor is a major factor in the amount of noise you will get. Camera's with larger sensors can produce crisp images at 400+ to match those with 200iso setting and smaller sensor.
My boss has a Canon 5D and the crispness in the iso range is top dollar.
Im new to all this photography lark... until a few weeks a go I had no idea what settings done what....
beginning to understand aperture a bit more though....
