The Ixus 950is is a superb bit of kit TBH, you can get it from Amazon for £175ish, 4x zoom, 8mp and as per all ixus cameras, the screen is excellent.
Abroad they are usually know under different names, Powershot SD850 is the ixus 950is etc.

Im bored of having point and shoot with no manual controls but cant be arsed with carrying lenses so its the ideal set up! Then the misses will be happy as she can have my ixus!
If its the Canon as discussed before it comes with year warranty as standard with Canon... and they are excellent with there repairs (well in my case they have been)
