Middle portion comes off easy. Remove your number plate and the screws. Take your time when working the ends. I poured some soap water to help lubricate the clips, that are easy to break.
Believe me, for the 10 years I have own the car, I have never seen this. Neither in the Megane. I am studying if I leave off the battery over night if that might reset the system. If not, I think I'm going by my buddy over the weekend and troubleshoot.
Of the wierdest things that can happen, the clock in the display is counting down in secs. I disconnected the -ve wire on the battery, hoping this could rectify the situation. But it is still there. The buttons aren't stuck neither. They appear normal.
Any suggestions?
The quality of the pics aren't all that but this is my Non Sport Clio. Yip, I am all the way across the Atlantic Ocean.
I am awaiting delivery of the white side lights from Renparts and I am thinking of putting on some Eibach Sportline Springs.
I am using them on the Megane Classic and on the Clio right now. No complaints at the moment. Makes a big difference on the road over here at nights, looking out for potholes.
I had this problem just last week. Turned out it was the battery. The car wont start or turn over but the radio will reset and ask for the security code.
New battery in, problem solved.
The passenger side shaft (in above pic,the one on the bottom), I had to change the inner boot rubber after I noticed that the gearbox oil was leaking out. From what I picked up from Dialogys is that the shafts comes in two diameters, 25.4mm and 28mm. My car has the 25.4mm one.
K-Tec sourced it...
