Removing Front, Side and rear bump strips on 1.6 Renault Clio Dyamique?

  1.6 Clio
Hi everyone,

I need to remove the bump strips ( black plastic around the car if I haven't used the correct technical term) so I can carbon fibre vinyl wrap them. I just want to take them off without breaking them or the clips holding them on.

Any help is appreciated,

Cheers Sam! :)

The side ones... Front: Open the door, get your hand under them (from the outside) and pull towards the back of the car

do the same for the rear but pull towards the front of the car.

Ive never taken the front and rear ones off but I'm guessing it's a bumper off job

the rear bumper will have to be off for the rear bumpstrip to be removed but the front does come off while keeping the bumper on... small screwdriver to the end pieces to remove those (start at the bottom until you can grab the piece and pull off) knuckles is right for the side strips :) only bit i havent removed is the centre plastic at the front where the number plate is so someone else will have to help on that one...

Yeah, looks like the middle front will be a bugger, il have to see what the front two and the sides look like to start with.

Cheers Sam! :D

Middle portion comes off easy. Remove your number plate and the screws. Take your time when working the ends. I poured some soap water to help lubricate the clips, that are easy to break.
