Less than a day with the new SE so far, and I've realised it's not Android I'm attached to, but Google.
I've still a sh*t ton of setup to do with all the apps I've downloaded, and a load more inbuilt ones to get rid of or offload, but so far all is good.
I'm sure I'll miss a few of the...
Ordered. Red. 64GB. I hovered over the buy button for a while...but could hear @Jeff simply 's voice telling me to JFDI. That and the promise of Apple Carplay in the 140. Done.
@gally
The 3A is £329, XL is £399.
Home screen live widgets is also a thing I think I'll miss. I like not having to open or switch between apps, what I want to see, notes, calendar, messages, is just there permanently.
It's on par with the 11 Pro from most reviews and side by side comparisons I've seen. The only thing it lacks is night mode.
I have that on my 2XL, it's super effective but gets used about once in every 200 pictures so I can happily do without.
Thining 'aloud'...
The thing that makes me most...
What advantages are there buying direct from Apple instead of SIM free from any of the other resellers? Are there any?
99% certain I'm going to make the switch, the charging port on my Pixel 2 XL is playing up again, the second time, and I'm out of warranty now so thinking f*** it why not...
This phone, along with the potential of having Apply Carplay installed in my bima, may well tempt me away from Android.
Having lived within Android all my life, but not being a heavy user (other than using Google Photos to store two decades of media), is that a huge mistake?
Lifetime earnings, I was always earning, but started putting more focused effort into it when i had my Fiesta and then it took off a bit more when the RS arrived.
Not much! It's directly related to how much effort you put into it, and I put in barely enough to keep it ticking over and growing at a very slow pace...but then my content is never going to have mass appeal.
You can see how my efforts a couple of months ago (weekly videos for six weeks...
Unless you really want it to be a DSLR for some other reason, for what you've described you need from it, I'd grab a GoPro 8.
It address every issue you've highlighted, and costs half your budget.
Some of the remaining budget would get you a good Rode mic setup although out of the box the...
Very interesting! Clearly a quality of footage and production way above what I or many other amateurs could ever get closer to.
I'd love to follow one of your projects through its entire workflows from initial raw footage to final output. So much to learn, always trying to absorb!
@SharkyUK what do you film/edit/output in 4K?
I did this for a while, a full day at Goodwood in 60fps...it did pummel my laptop a bit but it wasn't too tedious.
I've gone back on that now though...the fact that 85% of my YouTube views and watch time are on mobile phones or tablets to me says...
The one you've gone for is pretty much the exact same spec as my HP although I recently dropped a 4TB SSD in it as was fed up of constantly having to run external drives.
I run PowerDirector and although it takes a while to render Shadow proxy files for 4K editing, once done it runs just fine...
Nope. I never made the trip up there for any of the Renaultsport days.
No others of the briefing but plenty of all the cars on the day. I'll get a screengrab of the folder directory later...all track pictures are grouped by registration number.
Having a bit of a clearout has turned up a few CDs and DVDs which I'm going through before I bin them...and I've found the official RenaultSport Brands Hatch trackday picture CD from the day, August 21st 2006!
Fun times!
Who's still active on CS that's in these pictures...I recognise a few...
What annoyed me when I went wrong, was that I just then gently cruised around the remainder of the course. I had 200m of the Goodwood circuit laid out with cones for me to play on, without any time constraints, and I just pootled.
Tw*t
I've been told by someone who owned both the M2 and the M2C, that the N55 M2 is the one to go for - lacking a few horses v the M2C but he said the N55, the sound and character of the engine, more than made up for it.
Mow many miles on yours now? Wanna swap? :ROFLMAO:
