Looks a nice example - Dawn Couch’s I believe. Up to £15,000 already. Do we think it’ll make £20,000 plus ?

Added - i'd be thankful you get any comms at all. My car went in to a reputable garage for an engine rebuild in July last year, never heard a sausage for a month. Chased it up, got a reply that they've not even started it and they'd stuffed it outside to get even rustier.
Waited another 3...
If his usual pattern is to reply within a set amount of time and then he suddenly stops doing that, then yes i'd say it's understandable to feel anxious. He's probably overloaded with work and hasn't got an update for you. Either that or he's buggered off to Ukraine in which case you're fooked 🤣.
My BG has no A/C which is lovely in the Winter but the Summer's a killer. Threw all the pipework out as well and CBA to buy it all back.
Got stung in the face twice last year driving home from work with the window down. Once from a Wasp, the other from a stone flicking off a van tyre, missed my...
£3,000 - £3,500. I had 4 firm offers of £3,500 last October when I put my BG 182 FF up for sale but withdrew it to clean the engine and fix oil leaks. Mine’s on 133k now, more standard than yours but with same alloys, tyres but paintwork is immaculate bar a few small marks, which would probably...
I was suprised how nice and compliant the ride is with those Eibach's when fitted with new dampers. I've had Cooksport, Grams, Apex (worst springs ever made) and just couldn't get away with them.
Those little sensor brackets on the dampers look nice. Are those from @CFAB ?
Span a few times myself in the wet and as you say it happens so quickly. On all occasions I’ve managed to avoid the grass where you’re just a passenger at that point. Sad to see the car taking a hit but at least you’re ok and you can always build another one. I wouldn’t dwell on it or analyse...
Recently did mine with some Philips cold blueing.
Wire wheel off - I dropped mine in some DEOX-C for 12 hours prior to this - then degrease, brush some cold blue on for 3 minutes then spray with water repellent and leave to dry for an hour or so.

I replaced the spade connector on mine with a ring terminal. I think it's a 10mm socket to remove the male connector which attaches to the spade, then just tighten back on. It's a bit of a fiddle removing it with the upper inlet off but doable and i'm slightly rotund
All the...
I agree.
Mine was a backup engine for my track car with proof of belts done by a specialist 2 years in. Came off a car with full service history. Paid £240 for it, had it in storage 2 years. Stuck it on Facebook Marketplace and in the groups, as it was just taking up space, and not a single...
Yeah i know what you mean. I have 3 perfectly good working Clio Sports but i'm still planning on switching the engines around should one go and sell the other bits off for spares.
yeah my top end refresh/upgrade on my track car engine last summer - belts, water pump, valves, crank pulley, arp...
Funny you should say that but i commented on the very same thing when they posted an engine on Faceache. I know a lad in Darlo who has one of their builds, he's very happy with it. Paid £1,500 quid then but prices seem to have gone bonkers.
Crikey how the market has changed. And to think i had one of these in my garage with 90k on it a few years ago and couldn't give it away. Went for £100 in the end.

I flattened the epoxy mastic slightly with wet and dry (1500) after it dried. Then gave it some coats of Matt Black paint (Aerosol) before giving it a few coats of clear lacquer. Stuck a lance from a tin of S50 Cavity wax into all those little places you can’t get to.
I replaced my tank bolts and moved it around sufficiently to get a torch in there. The only corrosion I could see was where that rear exhaust heat shield goes. There was a small continuation of rust on the floor pan so easy to access and treat.
It’s a filthy job isn’t it? But well worth it in...
Yeah that seems to be the going rate. A couple of lads I did trackdays with sold their 182 BG with 144,000 miles for £3,500. Half cage, bucket seats, harnesses, B14’s, PMS shifter, rear seats out. Now’t special really, more road going car for occasional track days.
I’ve seen proper track/race...
A lad in our bodyshop has just bought a 172 and a 182 for £2,000. They’re supposed to be track prepared but I haven’t seen them yet.
They’re either absolute sheds or somebody’s been on mars and is out of touch with prices.
It’s held on with 5/6 grommets. If you don’t want to damage it then it’s possible without engine removal. Remove the expansion tank - 2 bolts on bulkhead, there’s a couple of large grommets behind exhaust manifold, some at the top, one down near the brake fluid reservoir. The most difficult ones...
Everything used is only going to continue going up in the short to medium term. The new car shortage isn’t getting resolved anytime soon, at least this year anyway.
