Sorry for not replying in so long. Things have been very busy with moving house last month.
Thanks for all the advice everyone.
From what I've read in this thread it seems it'd be worth upgrading my graphics card and CPU.
@Darren S - You mentioned the 965. Would this be a direct replacement for...
Thanks for the reply. The CPU isn't overclocked so I'll look into that (although I'll also need to look into better cooler as I had to get rid of my H50 cooler due to the size of the new case.)
I was thinking of upgrading to a GTX 780. Would this handle Project Cars or should I go for something...
Hi All,
I'm after a little advise regarding my current 'Gaming' set up. I built my rig in September 2010 so obviously it's in need of some sort of upgrade. I'm just wondering where the biggest performance increase will come from or if it's worth dedicating this machine to be my HTPC and build a...
I've been playing this since December. Currently level 62 and I've only ever noticed one bug where I fell through the floor. The graphics sometimes flicker due to the LOD models at distance I think but other than that it's great.
Forza would be perfect if it had a little bit of a storyline to it. With a character you can follow that would have rivalries etc..
That would make the career less repetitive I think.
Well I've set up my Raspberry Pi running RasPlex which is perfect. It means I can watch all my TV shows and movies streaming from the PC and also stream games from the PC too
Cheers for the help. A Chromecast would be perfect if I were able to also stream Steam games to that. Then I would be able to have the computer in another room and watch Plex on the TV while playing a game on the laptop and then when I wanted to play a game on the TV I could Stream to the...
That nearly worked but the game seems to jump to the primary monitor when opening from Steam. I could set the primary monitor to the headless secondary one but then it would be hassle to swap them back when I want to play games on the primary monitor.
It would be good if just one of the games...
I've just set up Steam Home-Streaming on my laptop which is great but does anyone know how to make it so the picture is only displayed on the client machine?
I want to be able to steam games from my host machine while also watching a film on the host machine.
Instead of posting a new thread I thought I'd add this here.
I've installed everything into my new case but it's a very tight squeeze so I'm waiting to get some smaller components where possible.
I currently have this graphics card which is really quite large. Can anyone recommend a graphics...
My motherboard has two rear USB 3.0 ports. One of them has my 3TB external drive connected but it's been so long since I've used USB 2.0 for file transfer that I don't notice if it's fast or not.
Thanks for the reply.
I don't need USB 3.0 on the front which is why I've gone for the 3.0 to 2.0 cable.
I just wanted to utilise the the two additional front USB ports.
