I still use e36coupe (bmwowner) from my e36 days, & occasionally m3cutters.
Generally, i find the UK forums to all be a bit naff/Bradfordspec, so use the US ones for technical/fault finding issue, ie bimmerforums (US & UK actually), e46fanatics, m3forum & m3post.
Things in common? All owned/thrashed/fixed by the king of Sheds. Moi.
The one in the OP i have not touched, & therefore its probably no good :dapprove:
PS. The lightweight PMS aircon delete on the mileyshed made a massive difference Kelv.
lol, just been browsing eBay for suitable Le Mans chariots, found this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-BMW-728i-Sport-Auto-Silver-Facelift-Mtec-MPARALLEL-/170981862989?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27cf502e4d
Do want.
Cheers Russ, much appreciated.
FWIW, i only bought it after taking it to Russ's VW dealership to get him to check it over and give it the all clear :)
If he'd said it was a poor one i wouldnt have bought it!!
Yeah, is blooming lovely!! Would certainly never find another one with all the options that are on it, most are properly poverty spec, or £12k. Will no doubt regret selling it, but cant have that much money tied up in a car anymore really.
Just need a straight sale im afraid, dont think im...
If you look closely in this photo, you can see the remote 'happy button' that ktec use for customer cars.
The more you spend, the bigger the button iirc.
Yeah will do next time its up in the air - rather amusingly, the other spring is the correct way up!!
No bargain Sachs floating around here though Tunst :rasp:
Well, if it is out, the engine was rebuilt by DDC Doncaster, who are supposed to be good, so i wont be massively impressed lol.
Sachs will stay if i keep it, the H&R's were good, but i'd prefer to keep this one 100% Trophy, front end at least ;)
Probably the same person who did the rear hub...
Variety is the spice of life ... clio is epic on track, but its a bit easy to drive quickly tbh. RWD is something else to master, especially if you want to peddle it properly quickly. But consumables on track are hellishly expensive, which is what makes the clio so awesome. For example, the...
Yeah, would have been nice to say that a goosed bearing made me 10bhp lighter, but i think its just down to the car being 100% standard. Certainly doesnt feel overly slow compared to previous 1*2's. Re: keeping it, no idea, will put the golf up for sale at some point, so it'll stay around until...
Quick little update on the Trophy now ive been driving around in it for a week or so.
Obvious things that needed sorting when i bought it:
Front wheel bearing - sorted, but wasnt the front lol...
Re: Clio turbo out at bedford (inc following Mikes ITB car and a huge 100mph+ sideway
As i said in the passenger lap, bloody quick, but seems to drive almost N/A like. Great work tbh.
Bet my Trophy felt like a right slug in comparison lol :o
True dat, they nearly banned me for posting in a thread like this on there. Was a red f1 that someone slammed on coilovers. Looked mega innit, not so great for handling yo ...
To the OP, its your car st the end of the day, but if you wanted to create a poor handling car, buying a corsa d would...
The disc was wobbling before i even removed the nut, so that was probably more of an issue than the additional spacer.
Disc literally fell off, no hammer required.
lol, you couldnt even change tax disc without using a guide off CS :p
