I'm exactly the same.
Was considering the 4XL but going to stick with my 2XL for now. I see no reason or benefit to part with almost £1k simply because newer.
I nearly bought one, I would have bought one if it came with a manual 'box. I still can't quite believe that monumental oversight...but I am so glad it happened as it steered me into a Ford dealership and ultimately into what I have now.
Thanks RenaultSport (y)
Nice. Very very nice. I hope you get along a little better with this one. I think they're a belter of a car!
You're welcome to come try mine with the diff whenever you want. 80s Sunday Breakfast Club at Goodwood?
Generally, yes.
I'm just stopping by as I'm meeting a mate who works nearby when he finishes at lunchtime.
I want to ask Charlie what he knows/thinks about the various mapping options for my car.
Exactly. The point in the video when I said 'I don't like that'...I had it moving, I had control, I needed throttle to keep it moving and bring it out...but the DSC just killed it.
I've not binned it yet, despite the recent rain and a new @Jeff simply inspired attitude of DSC and TC full off, always...it's a lot of fun and quite lively (y)
Brief thoughts after 3 weeks with the diff on, it's all good so far. The rain these last couple of days has been eye opening 😲
Default driving mode is now DSC + TC fully off. Can't get enough of it. Still lagging behind @Jeff simply in the rear axle delinquency stakes though.
Agreed, to a degree. I did qualify my post with the fact those times were around Goodwood which, once you know it, is very much a power circuit. I think that played into the hands of the ST...around somewhere more technical I think the Cup would edge the ST, just.
I needed 230bhp in my mk7 Fiesta ST to match my best stripped semi-slick time in my Clio 172 Cup around Goodwood.
Standard v standard I think little would seperate them.
You've done Bedford before? Many times?
Have they?
All things being equal pretty much as said above, you'll struggle, but if you're a veteran around there and for them it's their first time on track, you should destroy them.
That's the two extremes...so anywhere inbetween really!
I'm NOT a good passenger! I thought he was/we were really motoring but watching it back it's clear he only got near full boost on a handful of occasions and only momentarily at that as he immediately backed out of it. Understandable really LOL
I grew up with a 1.1 Popular Plus Escort, of this...
I put a couple of stills of this beast in the "Cars spotted" thread, didn't plan to but had my GoPro with me on the day so filmed what I could in case I could make anything of it...and the new 7 Black excelled, stability, lighting, and especially the sound, both inside and outside of the moving...
He's never done one before so just worked out what he could as we went along!
Is it really that simple, 15 minutes? You take it out with driveshats attached or pop them out and just drop the diff?
Not that it matters of course...I will not ever take this thing off my car. Driving in this...
